Wayback Pointfest delivered as promised! Best band was Living Colour - perfect vocals and loud. Collective Soul disappointing- vocals not in tune with band. Goldfinger music was rocking- banter mimicked immature 12 year old talk about genitals. Stir, cowboy mouth and urge we’re fun to listen to. Everclear was awesome - very collaborative and sharp group. Surprised by Gin Blossoms - vocals and music sounded great; very cohesive Unit. Overall experience was awesome. Disappointed by storm shortening sets.
Nobody can help the rain. It comes when it wants to. Goldfinger played strong through the rain and kept motivations high. Gin Blossoms and Everclear were the power headliners and they did a great job. It has been many years since I have been to a concert and my excitement from this concert has me looking to make it a routine. Thank you.
I like the way it was set up; however, I think there are too many food/alcohol booths...makes if more crowded than it has to be.
This concert was more for my girlfriend, The bands were awesome just not my thing, would have liked to seen a few more upbeat bands from the 90s..But I always have a great time....
Walk much? It was very tiring walking back and forth all day. Please put all of the bands on the same stage or put the side stage back to where it was (stage right).
Other than the rain delay the event moved along smoothly! Everybody involved with the event we’re very professional and very helpful!!
it was a good show. mosyly enjoyed the urge, living colour was ok, collective soul was awesome!
So, we are from out of town but we were excited to get to see all those 90’s bands. We didn’t get to see a schedule before hand, so we missed Gin Blossoms all together. Then it rained and they postponed due to lightning so all of the acts had to cut some songs. Then there was the two stage thing. Yes, I understand it was a festival, but I think it could have been planned a whole lot better than it was. Collective Soul always puts in a good show. Living Colour and Everclear were good as well. Just not our favorite venue and not the best experience. Oh, and bought tickets on Row A Center. You would be led to believe that would be front row. Nope, 4 rows in front of us. We knew there was a small pit and were expecting that but not the other rows of seats. Hoping for more clarity next time. Oh well, win some, lose some.
Due to a weather delay between Everclear and The Urge, the headliner, Collective Soul, who I came solely to see and for whom I purchased expensive 7th row tickets, cut their setlist short by six songs according to their setlists from their most recent shows. I understand weather delays. However, I feel that if any band's set should be shortened, it most certainly should not be the headliner. Obviously the band had to complete their performance by 11:00 p.m. I'm not sure if this was a noise ordinance issue or possibly a union workers issue. If it was a noise issue, the amphitheatre is in the middle of nowhere, so noise after 11:00 pm shouldn't be an issue. Regardless, it's a shame that a band of the headliner's caliber should be forced to shorten their set. Cut the sets of the openers!
