    Too many people!

by Too many people! on 2/7/24Propst Arena at the Von Braun Center - Huntsville

They supposedly sold fewer tickets this year, but the venue was smaller. We only got about half way through and left because it was just too crowded. As we were leaving, there were still lots of people just walking in. Really ruined the experience again this year. I understand they have to make money, but they will lose customers in the process.

Still a good time, but I hope it goes back to South Hall!

by Scott on 2/7/24Propst Arena at the Von Braun Center - Huntsville

I've gone to the Von Brewski several times, and its always been a great time. It was fun this year (2024) as well, but it suffered from being relocated to the arena floor of Propst Arena. An RV show was being held in the South Hall, and the new space felt a little cramped once everybody got in there. I think the attendee experience could be improved with some sort of "best beer"or "best brewery"voting, or "best costume", "best pretzel necklace"etc awards. Still, a good time was had by all. Its a great event.

    Many brews to try .

by LIS on 2/6/24Propst Arena at the Von Braun Center - Huntsville

The stations were not properly identified leaving to confusion trying to find the beers we wanted to sample . But plenty of choices to find your favorite. It was nice to have music but it was extremely loud as many around us commented .This was hard to hear the venders describing there brews to us . We look forward to next year attending and hope some improvements can be made to make it more enjoyable.

My first time going and was impressed. Plenty of breweries and beers. Will most definitely make the trip back.

Colossal Waste of Time and Money

by Mike on 2/6/24Propst Arena at the Von Braun Center - Huntsville

20 min wait in each line, we barely sampled any beer, left after 1 hour, what a waste of time and money.

Ran out of beer 90mins early

by Dib on 2/6/24Propst Arena at the Von Braun Center - Huntsville

Overall it was a very fun experience. Tons of breweries present with lots of great sampling options to choose from. It became clear very quickly though that the event was way overbooked with guests. The entire floor was packed so full that it was hard to maneuver. And the worst offense was that by 4:30 basically all the vendors were out of beer even though it was scheduled to go til 6pm. I paid $50 for my ticket expecting to be there for my full 4 hours but ended up leaving early and didn’t get to try all the beers I wanted to. Need to limit the ticket sale next year or at least tell the brewers to plan for way way way more than they anticipate

    Good first time

by Harley Davidson on 2/6/24Propst Arena at the Von Braun Center - Huntsville

Had a great time. Maybe the only downside was the lines were longer than I anticipated with how it was made that there were limited tickets but about 5 mins was the longest we had to wait.

    Best Brewfest by Far

by Bob on 2/6/24Propst Arena at the Von Braun Center - Huntsville

I have been to numerous beer festivals, and I found the VonBrewski Fest one of the best I have ever encountered. I have been an avid home Brewer for nearly 20 years. As such I appreciate the effort and hard work that these craft Brewers put into creating the delicious ales and lagers on offer at this festival. Furthermore the logistics and organization of those that hosted the festival were top notch. I would highly recommend attendance of this festival to anyone who appreciates craft beer.

    1st timer at Von Brewski

by Biggie Mack on 2/2/23Von Braun Center South Hall - Huntsville

First of all, this was our 1st experience at the “international” Von Brewski Beer Festival in HSV .. lots of different beer tasting available & great to have it all in 1 place! We waited in queue to enter event for about 25 min (not fun), then initially there were quite long queuing lines for some of the breweries. In addition, the available food options were not that great (tried pretzel & bratwurst .. just ok! Enjoyed music. My wife (D/D) paid for full price ticket & we weren’t aware non-drinking tickets were available!

    Too crowded!

by Amy v on 2/1/23Von Braun Center South Hall - Huntsville

I think this was our sixth Von Brewski. We’ve always loved it. We loved it so much that over the years we’ve recruited friends to come with us (all the way from Clarksville TN) and this year we were 13 strong! Unfortunately, this fest was so packed it was hard to move around and the lines were long. Not only that, but many booths ran out of beer only halfway through. The volunteers really did their best to be efficient by pre-pouring when possible. The volunteers were also very friendly. Also, it was advertised that there was a pretzel necklace station but it’s not. They give you a teensy bag of pretzels. So bring your own pretzel necklace and you’ll be the envy of all. One perk is that there was seating and tables so we could hang with our group in between samples. The bathroom situation was also good as there were additional bathrooms adjacent to the hall. Another unfortunate was most of our group did not get the free pint glass at the end. So either people were receiving multiples or they didn’t order enough for the amount of tickets sold. I’m sure the event made a TON of money, but they should take into account for future years that people who buy tickets should be able to sample all the beers before they run out and get any freebies advertised. Also, they should account for space if selling that many tickets. Either the space needed to be reconfigured (put the large tables/chairs further from the sampling stations?) or use a larger venue.
