About

Drew Lynch On Tour

“A comedian with a stutter” is how Drew Lynch describes himself on his popular YouTube channel, and that description is certainly accurate. But it’s also misleading, because Lynch is so much more.

His weekly videos feature the affable, earnest Lynch monologuing alongside his ever-patient service dog Stella, or Lynch and Stella rendered in colorful animation for their recurring “Therapy Dog” segments, or Lynch performing stand-up at clubs around the U.S. They regularly rack up tens of thousands of views, winning him legions of fans around the world.

More than making people laugh (the job description of every comedian ever), Lynch’s mission is unique. Yes, he’s a comedian with a stutter, and he often makes his condition the punchline of his jokes. But whether in his videos, on stage, or acting in film and TV, Lynch applies his comedic gifts to dispel stereotypes and convey a message of perseverance, open-mindedness, and positivity.

Lynch didn’t originally set out to inspire anyone — or to be a stand-up comedian, for that matter. Relying on his boyish good looks and stutter-free charisma, he left his native Indianapolis to attend performing-arts high school in Las Vegas and, after graduating, moved to Los Angeles with aspirations of becoming an actor.

While hustling for acting gigs in 2011, he was derailed by a freak sports accident. Fielding grounders for the Flappers Comedy Club softball team, he took a couple balls to the head and throat and woke up with a speech impediment that still afflicts him. Stand-up comedy provided release, as well as an eager audience.

But his biggest break came in 2015, when he came in second place in the 10th season of America’s Got Talent, receiving the rare and prestigious Golden Buzzer courtesy of fellow comedian Howie Mandel. Since then, Lynch has made his condition both a cornerstone and a sideshow of his comedy routines, establishing himself (and a prodigious YouTube presence) and taking his show across the U.S. and Canada.

    The performance was great!

by Brendy on 3/10/24The Astro - La Vista

Drew was amazing and so funny! I'm horribly embarrassed by the audience members who were specifically told not to yell out and heckle the performers, but did so anyway.

Hilarious and quickly adapted to situations.

by Luke on 3/10/24The Astro - La Vista

All the comics that performed were extremely funny and the main act was doing new material that killed.

We loved Drew's show. He is so talented and makes the crowd feel comfortable. My friends and I had a great evening. I loved his comedy before the show, but appreciate him even more after seeing him live.

    Would go again

by Juju on 3/10/24The Astro - La Vista

Drew was really funny and I was glad I went. He did not disappoint. However, I thought his first opening act used too much profanity for my taste and the second guy was not needed.

Creative, Funny, and Engaging Stand Up

by Dawson on 3/4/24Birchmere - Alexandria

Drew Lynch surpassed my expectations of delivering an amusing and entertaining hour plus time of stories and humor. Seeing him perform is time well-spent. Like all comedians these days, he is bawdy and risqué, but he is also self-deprecating and human.

    Greatest 50th Birthday EVER!

by Dawn F on 2/1/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - Savannah

We had such an amazing time at the Drew Lynch show! Drew is always such a delight and did such a wonderful job, even with the sound issues the venue was having. He kept us laughing the whole time. My family and I went to his show to celebrate my 50th birthday weekend and Drew did not disappoint! The venue was great but the sound could have been better. There was a lot of echo and they tried hard to fix it, but we still had a great time. The staff was phenomenal and we had an awesome experience all the way around. We love you, Drew!!! Thanks for making my birthday so special.

    A Little Disappointed

by CStokes on 2/1/24Columbia County Performing Arts Center - Evans

We have been watching Drew for years! My husband and I love him, and we were so eager to see him in person. We were seated just 6 rows from the stage and when the show got started, we immediately recognized that we had heard all this material before. They mentioned that they were filming for a N**flix special, but we were just surprised that we paid for a show we have already heard before. We were glad to have seen him in person, but we were both disappointed.

    Up and coming comedian

by Lizzy on 2/1/24Columbia County Performing Arts Center - Evans

It was a little odd that he redid a quarter of his show at the end. Left it a little wanting and the jokes weren’t as funny a second time. But when he stayed up on stage after that and joked with the audience he was at his peak for hilarity. I think I enjoyed that bit the most. He has some great jokes though. His intro comedians were overly crass and went for cheap laughs and obscene gestures to get the audience going instead of quick whit like Lynch. The first intro comedian as probably a 5/10 laughs. The second was laughing out of discomfort. Lynch brought genuine laughter and was pretty wholesome.
