ALONZO BODDEN IN CONCERT:

Towering over the crowd at 6-foot-4, comedian Alonzo Bodden is big guy -- and he's got a huge sense of humor to match. Ticket buyers don't stand a chance of keeping a straight face as the former Last Comic Standing champion whips out smart jokes with sharp wit, quick comedic timing, and infectious enthusiasm. Bodden is an astoundingly keen comic who incorporates current events, politics, pop culture, and social issues into his routine with a perfect blend of insight and humor. As one of the business's busiest and most in-demand comedic personalities, Boden never fails to disappoint with his hilarious shows on tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Alonzo Bodden grew up in Queens, NY and discovered a knack for comedy in his late '20s while working as an aviation mechanic in Los Angeles. After teaching a class in aerospace mechanics and unearthing his talent for public speaking and making people laugh, he quit his job and decided to pursue comedy professionally. After years performing on the club circuit around Los Angeles and working as a doorman at the Laugh Factory, he was invited to join the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. In 2004 he caught his big break on the second season of NBC's Last Comic Standing, where he finished as the runner-up. Following the release of his critically acclaimed comedy DVD Tall, Dark, And Funny, Bodden returned to the show the following seasons and cinched the championship. He has since acted in TV roles on Showtime's Californication and ABC's The Neighbors, co-hosted Inside The Vault on WGN America, and appeared on late night shows including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. He is also a frequent guest on The Adam Carolla Show, a panelist on the NPR news quiz Wait, Wait...Don't Tell Me!, and a comedic panelist on the Game Show Network's Mind of A Man. Among his recorded releases are the 2010 concert special Who's Paying Attention? and the 2013 standup CD He Had Me At Black.

    Had a Great Time

by Loved It on 4/9/23Cobb's Comedy Club - San Francisco

We attended this show while on vacation in San Francisco. Alonzo Bodden was hilarious, as were the two comedians who opened for him. We purchased one of the $10 cds he had for sale and are planning on getting tickets to see him again next month when he is in Tacoma which is closer to where we live. We also appreciated the staff at Cobb's Comedy Club; they were friendly and helped make the night fun. Cobb's has a small menu of food and a full bar so everything you need to have an enjoyable night is right there. We'll return to this club next time we are in San Francisco!

    Who was the other guy?

by :) on 2/22/20Parker Playhouse - Ft Lauderdale

I love "Wait! Wait!" so it was great to see Alonzo Bodden in person (****). The names of the other comedians are ...? I have no idea but the lady was funny (****), edgy but funny. She knew her audience and played to it. The third guy (**) was not so funny. He came out and before he made any audience connection, he insulted the Parker's neighborhood as in "What's up with this neighborhood?" and "You don't linger on the street here, do you?" After enjoying the wit of the the other comedians, this was a Bummer. We left early. The last guy: What was up with him? Know me before you insult me. Just saying.

    Hilarious

by Daniel on 7/17/19Jimmy Kimmel's Comedy Club - Las Vegas

The comedians were funny and very professional. The atmosphere inside the club reminded of an east coast cabaret setting, up close and personal. I enjoyed the show and looking forward to future comedy acts.
