About

PJ Masks on Tour

Ever since Superman and Batman made their comic-book debuts in the 1930s, kids have always been drawn to superhero stories. They've indulged aspirational fantasies of acquiring their own special powers and saving the world. The Disney Junior animated series PJ Masks is a superhero franchise with a twist — the superheroes are regular kids themselves.

By day, Connor, Amaya, and Greg are your typical first-graders playing on the schoolyard. By night, they turn into Catboy, Owlette, and Gekko — the costumed crime-fighting trio who announce their transformation on each episode with a motto that every parent knows by heart at this point. (All together now: "PJ Masks are on their way, into the night to save the day!")

Since its debut in 2015, PJ Masks has joined the ranks of Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig in the pantheon of TV shows that have provided young children with an early education thanks to the art of the Netflix binge-watch.

Like those programs, PJ Masks has spawned an IRL offshoot in the form of a live revue. After touring the PJ Masks: Time to Be a Hero! show over the course of 2017-18, our heroes return to stages across North America in 2019 with a brand-new production, PJ Masks Live! Save the Day! The show features (adult) actors dressed up as Catboy, Owlette, and Gekko, and it presents its storyline through a series of acrobatic musical numbers set against animated video backdrops.

Expect to see the PJs square off against their most infamous nemeses: the mad scientist Romeo; the silver-haired, moonbeam-wielding Luna Girl; and the shadowy Night Ninja with his army of Ninjalinos. (The show also includes a handful of new songs not featured on the Time to Be a Hero! soundtrack that was released in October 2018.)

    Great for Kids

by Katie on 1/27/20Old National Events Plaza - Evansville

My 3 year old loved it!! Didn't move the whole time! I think the intermission could have been shorter. I don't know if they were giving plenty of time for kids to go to the bathroom but those that didn't got pretty antsy waiting. Overall, we had a good time.

    It was a fun time...

    by C. on 1/15/20Scheels Arena - Fargo

We got to enjoy the show and at intermission time the kiddos were allowed to go to the main floor and get some of their built up energy off by moving around on the stadium floor! It was a fun time had by all!

Worst children’s event I’ve attended. Enjoyed Disney on Ice.

    Mmmm ok

by K. on 1/13/20Heartland Events Center - Grand Island

Did not start in time, have the set was blocked seating available could have been better, long intermission for kids saw lots of people leaving early. Will not recommend

    A tired event

by Concerned grandmother on 1/13/20Paramount Theatre-Oakland - Oakland

I think it would have been better for the event to be on a Saturday at 2:00 pm instead of a week day at 6:00 pm. It was too late for a small child.

I spent $47.50 on four floor seat tickets for a play.

by Grandma Norma on 1/8/20Toyota Center Kennewick - Kennewick

I was very disappointed in the show. Last year I took my 8 year old granddaughter to Disney on Ice and I expected for this show to be the same. My 3 year old grandson kept asking Grandma is this almost over, and finally he said let's get out of here. I spent a lot of money on the tickets and it was not worth performance. The merchandise that was being sold was priced high and I have seen cuter shirts at Target for $10 instead of $30. That was ridiculous. I will pay for quality, but not $20 for a light that glows with PJ Masks stickers on it.

    Mystery Trip

by Kayleen Simpson on 1/6/20Toyota Center Kennewick - Kennewick

We surprises our daughters with a trip to Kennewick to see PJ Masks live. It was much better than we thought it might be! Show had great costumes, singing and kept kids engaged. Kids got hoodies ($40 each) and foam wands ($20 each) Wands were cheap foam and fell apart so i recommend not getting those. Only negative was the $6 popcorn that tasted like it was 2 daya old!
