I really didn't know how the play would be presented. But the creativity of director, Tia James was great. She made the performances of Gayle Turner and Lakeisha Coffey come to life with the vintage photography as Sadie and Bessie took us on their journey from North Carolina to New York.
I enjoyed every minute of it. It was informative and entertaining. I would love to go back.
I took my daughter and some of her middle school friends. I thought it would be a wonderful way to learn some history in an enjoyable way. They loved it! I loved it! The ladies who portrayed the sisters were fantastic. The story was engaging. All-around wonderful experience.
Everyone should see this and learn from these wise women. Less judging, more love and respect for one another...plus a milkshake for dinner might be a key factor in longevity..loved it!
Wonderful, wonderful show. Extremely talented cast portraying the Delaney sisters. Great director. Story true to the book. Well worth my time and money.
