One word…. AWESOME
MVP Arena - Albany
Going to the Mayors Cup at MVP Arena was my first College Hockey game and now I’m addicted. Can’t wait to see my next hockey game. The staff at MVP was Awesome and the Teams put on a hell of a show.

Very poor view of the ice from my seats!
MVP Arena - Albany
The seating map for the arena does not indicate seats that have obstructed views of the ice rink and I had 2 of them. In addition there was a banner in front of us promoting the Albany Lacrosse team that obstructed the view of any action along the near boards. Had to watch some of the game on the scoreboard and for $56 for the 2 seats it wasn't worth it! The seats were Section 208, Row C, Seats 7 and 8.

Game was fine. Ticket very difficult to use
MVP Arena - Albany
The mobile-only tickets were a real pain. It is near impossible to set up an account with just a phone. And then it asks to reset the password. Well, you go to the text to get the reset code, and then you can't get back to the reset screen! I almost threw the phone. Using my PC I was able to set up the account but when I went to get the tickets on Google Pay (where it told me my tickets were) I couldn't get into Google Pay! Luckily I took a PC screenshot of the invoice so the supervisor let me in. I will never use mobile-only again! You should at least have a way to print the tickets if the damn phone apps do not work!

Fun and affordable
MVP Arena - Albany
Watching hockey live is so much fun! We had decent seats (section 121, seats 3-8), however they were in really bad shape. The arms were all loose, the seat back moved when it shouldn't and the padding was terrible compared to the seats around us. The sound system seemed like it needs some work. We went to the Albany Stadium Restaurant for lunch prior to the hockey game. They all (the arena AND the restaurant) need to put signage or something out that clearly states the restaurant food can't be brought in, even though it's attached. I had to throw out a $15 sandwich. Not cool.

The Game itself and seats were enjoyable but
Times Union Center - Albany
the game should have been played when originally scheduled as the weather was better at that time. That said, there should have been better communication through media outlets about the game being rescheduled.

Great Venue, Great Game, Lousy Parking Situation
Times Union Center - Albany
Did not know it was not possible to park at Empire Plaza and take walkway to Times Union Center as very little was advertised about it being under renovation. Did not learn that until pulling into P3 lot and dolt who manned booth, could not offer any other suggestions on where to park ("wherever you can"), told me I could not park there to get to TUC. After driving around downtown Albany for an extended period of time, was able to find parking for $10, double that of Empire Plaza. Then had to wait 45 mins before even being able to leave parking garage once the game was over because of congestion and volume. Other than these complaints, had great seats and it was a great game. Wish next year they go back to having it on a Friday or Saturday so more kids can go.

Great rivalry game, even though it's only in its third year. Must see event each year!
