    Definitely a Live Show

by BuffaloSco on 11/19/22Teragram Ballroom - Los Angeles

The show was nice, but it wasn’t what I expected. I thought it would be about a topic or about informing the audience about something specific, but it was more of a spectacle. We all had to stand the entire time, which lowkey kindof sucked. I worked all day, and I’ve got bad knees and a bad back, and they didn’t really have anywhere to sit. A lot of folks around me couldn’t see because everyone was standing and they were too short. I wish instead of the show just being like kindof like a silly routine it would have been actually about something specific, I wish it had more depth, but it was kindof just a preplanned performance art comedy routine with mid leftist takes, Twitter(before Elon), personified(not a bad thing, but fits the description). I drove an hour from home to see this, for it to just feel like an ‘intro’ to the podcast. I wanted to actually be informed about something, I want to hear about organizing tactics, I want to go deeper into any singular topic. Yet, we just got like a milquetoast amount of anything we haven’t already heard before. Social Media, Bad. Crypto, Bad. Like yeah, sure, those things are true, but maybe do something other than just like skim over those topics…. Maybe that was the point, but I kindof wish I didn’t spend money on the show, and could have just bought the merch, and left. The performance was good, Liz and Brace did a good job regurgitating their show, but ya know, if I knew that the show was just going to be a PowerPoint presentation with like no real substance I would have stayed home. It wasn’t informational it was more performance art. I’m really not trying to be too harsh, I did enjoy the show, but I wouldn’t have drove an hour and paid for the ticket, if I knew it was going to be like it was. Brace if you’re reading this. Glad you didn’t get immolated.
