    Opus 52

by Scraper2 on 7/25/18Scherr Forum-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza - Thousand Oaks

I was absolutely overwhelmed by the accomplishments of the eight young musicians who performed. Couldn't have anticipated they would play their chosen works from memory just like adult soloists.

    Thousand Oaks Philharmonic Opus 34

by Nurse48 on 7/10/12Scherr Forum-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

We have attended other Opus venues, which were really pretty incredible. The young artists played well for the most part, but were not connecting at all with the audience. They looked more robotic, then young adults who were sharing with the audience. I will also add that one of the biggest turn-offs is the constant requests for money at each and every one of the venues. This aspect makes me stop and consider how much I would like to attend.

    Opus 30

by mabda on 4/25/11Scherr Forum-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

What an amazing evening of talent among the young musicians in TO. Whether it was the piano, violin or oboe concertos they played with such virtuosity, each young performer impressed the audience. They performed with such confidence and aplomb, you had to check the program for their actual age just in case you had misread. My congratulations also to their teachers and coaches. The hard work was well displayed and suported by the TO Philharmonic orchestra.
