About

The Rose (더 로즈) is a Korean pop rock band. The band is composed of four members: Kim Woosung (vocals, guitar), Park Dojoon (vocals, keyboard), Lee Hajoon (drums), and Lee Jaehyeong (bass).

In 2015, Dojoon, Jaehyeong, and Hajoon formed a group as a trio under the name "Windfall". The three members started their early years busking in Korea while writing their music together as a band. After some time, they recruited Woosung and started releasing music as a band under the name The Rose. The Rose quickly became one of Korea's hottest groups spending the next few years releasing critically acclaimed albums and playing all around the world.

Debuting in 2017 with the soft-rock hit "Sorry," The Rose was named one of the "New K-Pop Artists to Watch" by Billboard. They subsequently broke into the top 10 of Billboard's "Next Big Sound," "World Digital Song Sales" and "World Albums" charts with the EPs, Dawn, and Void, the latter of which also hit #1 on the U.S. iTunes' K-Pop Albums chart, solidifying the band's dominance as one of the fastest accelerating artists across the internet.

In 2019, the band took a formal break to accommodate several of the members' mandatory Korean military service. During the band's hiatus, WOOSUNG continued music with his solo career releasing several albums and playing several sold-out world tours. At a recent sold-out show in South Korea, The Rose performed as the special guest reuniting with their fandom, Black Roses, for their highly anticipated comeback.

The Rose is currently working on recording their new album that is influenced by their motto "music heals". HEAL is an album that is inspired by the stories of the fans and the healing power of music. They are a band devoted to Black Rose and the strength of their friendship. Along the way, they are breaking records: becoming the first K-Pop group to be officially part of Discord and have set records for every appearance on the platform.

The next year holds a magical time for The Rose with a new album, a world tour, and many more stories!

    Awesome!

by Laurie on 12/27/23EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

One of the best concerts I've been to! I went alone (first time I've done that) and it was such a great experience. Kpop/Krock concerts always feel like a fun family and this was no exception. The band looked and sounded great, venue was the right size, staff was very helpful and friendly.

The Rose said come back to them and I did

by Sara I on 12/2/23Coca-Cola Roxy - Atlanta

I was sad to have missed The Rose on their previous tour after enjoying their performance so much when I saw them on their 2019 tour. I was also sad to not see ATL in initial list of tour stops and I am so very glad that they added one in because it was healing to get to hear them live again! You can feel their energy and the care they put into their music and lyrics. I brought my coworker and her husband, following through on their encouragement to bring friends to the next show attended, and had such a great time with them. My coworker and I both participated in helping with fan projects for the show and I believe I have created another solid fan of their music!! I loved how we were able to talk and prepare in the artists' discord as well. The show was well-executed and it was wonderful to hear old favorites and new songs from their most recent album live. I teared up at several of the more emotional songs and came away with their mission of healing and connecting across differences through music reiterated to me. I am eager to see them again soon! I wish the lines outside the venue had been handled a little better, but I know that's not necessarily something the band can control.

    The Best Night

by Meg on 11/24/23Arizona Financial Theatre - Phoenix

This was my first The Rose concert and it was SUPERB! Not only are the guys amazing musicians, they're stellar performers! You can really tell that they genuinely love what they do. They're also hilarious and very good at interacting with the crowd. Dojoon was especially fun to watch perform. The sound, lighting, and screen graphics were perfect too. It was seriously such an amazing night and I can't wait for the next time they come to AZ!

    The ROSE Kia Forum 11.12.23

    by KatsuMe on 11/21/23

New The ROSE fan here-I found Woosung thru BTS's SUGA's collab-Snooze. Once I heard his voice I had to find out about him and found he's with the ROSE. Only began following The ROSE since May of this year. The more I listened to their music the more I knew I wanted to see them live in concert. I had the chance and flew to LA to see them at the Kia Forum by myself. The fans I waited in line with were really nice. The venue was good. Strange enough they were selling so many food items it smelled like a county fair inside of the forum. My seat was area 125, row 6, seat 1. This was a verified resale ticket. Unfortunately there were three large cables running from the ceiling to the floor so my view of drummer Hajoon was seriously blocked even though I was the first seat on the end of my row with no one in the other rows next to me. Other than this the concert was amazing. The members are multi talented, they can ALL sing-they have great energy and interact a lot with the crowd. Dojoon's voice is so amazing I believe he'd be great in a musical. I love this band's messages of Positivity! 🖤🌹 The crowd had good energy but would seem to fizzle out. Woosung even schooled the crowd-asking what was wrong with us?! First band I've seen in concert that had some songs with the lyrics scrolling behind them on a screen while playing the song. This is great for newer fans that don't know all of the words to each song yet and want to sing along. I went to the concert with one bias. I walked out with Hajoon, Jaehyeong, Dojoon and Woosung as biases. I plan to see them again when they come to the US-this time I hope to get VIP tickets. If you get the chance to see indie Korean band The ROSE I highly suggest you do!

    Stunning. Amazing. Wonderful.

by Kiana on 11/18/23Arizona Financial Theatre - Phoenix

The venue staff was so helpful in navigating the venue to our seats and the security and some other staff were very sweet while the fans were waiting for the Rose to come out of the back door. They kept us entertained and our spirits high until 2 am. The Rose held an astonishing performance that was so visual and just altogether amazing. I really appreciate the work and dedication that everyone working at this event put into it to make it as amazing as it was. I would 100% go back and not be afraid of being treated poorly by staff or not having an enjoyable night.
