About

The Rolling Stones are one of the most influential and longest-lasting bands to cross over during the ’60s British Invasion. The group stands as one of the best-selling acts of all time with 200 million records sold worldwide, and is responsible for two of the highest-grossing tours of all time within the last two decades. Blending blues and rock, the first main lineup of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Brian Jones, Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts broke out in 1965 with their first chart-topping album Out of Our Heads and back-to-back Hot 100 No. 1 singles “(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction” and “Get Off of My Cloud.” The group topped the Hot 100 again with 1966’s “Paint It, Black,” 1967’s “Ruby Tuesday” and 1969’s “Honky Tonk Women.” With the addition of guitarist Mick Taylor, The Rolling Stones released their second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with 1971’s Sticky Fingers, kicking off a streak of eight consecutive chart-topping debuts through 1981’s Tattoo You. Ronnie Wood made his debut as Taylor’s full-time replacement with 1978’s Some Girls, which hosted the group’s Hot 100 No. 1 “Miss You.” The Rolling Stones were the recipients of The Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 1987, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989. They collected their first of three career Grammy Awards in 1995. The group broke the record for highest-grossing tour in 1990 and reclaimed the top spot in 1995 and 2007, becoming the only band to headline the highest-grossing tour of the decade twice. The No Filter World Tour from 2017 to 2021 closed as the fifth highest-earning tour ever. Most recently, the band released their first album of original material in 18 years, 2023’s Hackney Diamonds.

    Traffic Suuuuucked

by JohnnyG on 12/1/21Super Stage at Circuit of The Americas - Austin

Excited about the concert. Drove up from San Antonio. Plenty of time. Expected some delay, but not the parking fiasco we encountered. We couldn't prepay for parking on Ticketmaster (as recommended). Waited an hour to get onto the grounds. All lots were sold out. While in traffic, my wife jumped out of the truck and walked over to a parking attendant who told her to turn around and park in the first lot. Finally did turn around and parked in A Lot -- the farthest lot from the venue. Heard mumbles from other concert goers as we walked to the concert area: "This is the first and last time I will ever come here." Agreed. By the way, concert itself was fantastic!

This was my third time seeing my all time favorite band and it was nothing short of spectacular! The incredible energy of the band and fans was palpable ♡ No one will ever compare with moves like Jagger! If I could afford to, I would see every show, just for the amazing experience that each show gives you ♡ Long Live The Stones ♡ RIP Charlie ♡

    Great show, horrible venue

by G on 11/30/21Super Stage at Circuit of The Americas - Austin

The performance was great. Almost everything else about the evening was horrible. Bad traffic, gates opened late, little to no signage, too little and slow food options, limited bar options. The whole experience just felt unorganized and haphazard. Hopefully the organizers learn some lessons and improve, if not I doubt I’ll be returning to this venue and super stage set up again.

    Great concert, lousy staff

by lhchowdah on 11/30/21Super Stage at Circuit of The Americas - Austin

Parking / traffic flow was a nightmare for a concert of this magnitude. The Waze app took us the wrong direction, but did get us off the main traffic road. People are just plain rude these days not making way for people to get around the venue. Staff was VERY understaffed and didn't seem to care about people's safety where logjams of people congregated and did nothing about it. Things must be better for concerts after COTA races because everyone is already there. I heard nothing but complaints from other concertgoers.

    Amazing Show!

by Fancy on 11/30/21Super Stage at Circuit of The Americas - Austin

The Stones performance was as good as ever. They are the best rock band in the world without a doubt. Circuits of the Americas did a great job hosting, it would have been nice if there were seats sold closer to the stage as opposed to so many Pit and Gold Circle tickets. Overall it was a great show and I would certainly do it again!

    Great show, everything else though..

by Kev on 11/29/21Super Stage at Circuit of The Americas - Austin

The Stones brought an amazing show to town, and it was a once in a lifetime experience for me. I was skeptical that it would be as good as it was, but once they got going, the magic and chemistry took over and they proved why they're one of the greatest. The new drummer subbing for Charlie (RIP) really brought it, and the crowd had great energy. The venue, though, is miserable to get to, and the charges for parking were atrocious. The cheapest parking was $66 after fees. They have dedicated parking lots that aren't being used for anything else. Everything at this venue is designed to part you from your money. I avoid it whenever possible, but made an exception for probably the last chance I'll get to see the Stones in Austin.

    Too crowded

by FD on 11/29/21Super Stage at Circuit of The Americas - Austin

It was great to see The Stones, but having that many people at the Circuit Of Americas venue was not okay. It took FOREVER to get in and it was WAY to crowded once in.

    Rolling Stones Austin

by R. S. on 11/29/21Super Stage at Circuit of The Americas - Austin

The concert itself was great. The sound and video were fantastic for a venue as large as COTA. Some of the logistics left a lot to be desired. It took us an hour and 15 minutes to get from our houses to the parking lot -- which was about what we had expected. We felt lucky that we picked a good route to get to our parking lot. We had friends who were not as lucky and it took them almost 3 hours to get to the parking lot! Getting from the parking lot to our seating area went fairly smoothly. All the concession stands were at the back of the venue so each seating area did not have dedicated concession stands. As a result, you had to exit the seating area and reenter each time you went to the concession stands. The bigger issues were exiting the show. To enter, you went through a fairly narrow set of gates, which was not a problem upon entering as people arrived over an extended period. But upon leaving, you had to go back through the narrow set of gates, which created a huge bottle neck. We ended up climbing over fences to get out. There was no reason that COTA couldn't have moved some of the fencing at the end of the show to reduce the bottle neck getting out. Once we got to the parking lot, it only took us 30 minutes to get home -- which was much better than we had anticipated. However we had some friends who parked in a different parking lot and it took them 45 minutes to exit the parking lot in their car! COTA has been around too long to not have solved some of these logistics issues. We will think twice before we go to another concert at the Super Stage and we have friends who will never go back again.

    Rocking and Rolling 2021

    by Gopherit10 on 11/29/21Ford Field - Detroit

This was my first concert experience since before COVID, first concert at Ford Field, and first Stones concert. It was well worth the wait! We had a great time, even with a few people unnecessarily standing most of the concert and partially blocking views for those who wished to sit down behind them. The sound system was fantastic, and although that can only be attributable to the Stones, the stadium itself seemed to be able to absorb a lot of bounce, maybe due to the acoustics of the venue? The AV was awesome, with four vertical screens overlaid to the main screen, and very good quality imaging and mix. Which was immensely helpful in that large of a venue.

    Great concert; abysmal parking organization

by dave on 11/28/21Super Stage at Circuit of The Americas - Austin

The facility needs to work on how it organizers parking and the use of ride shares. Also, the strict rules about what you could bring in were not enforced. For example, some people brought in folding chairs.

by Gus on 11/28/21Mercedes-Benz Stadium - Atlanta

I was going in with the thought of Mick being to old to put on the show. But I was surprised at his every song. He is just as good as ever. Start him up and he'll never stop

    Stones Video Concert at COTA

by M. E. on 11/27/21Super Stage at Circuit of The Americas - Austin

The performance and the music was the best Stones that I have ever heard. Keith was on his game and his solo vocals were absolutely fantastic. Ronnie was stellar and he had much more front time than usual. Steve Jordan added an old-fashion rock and roll enthusiasm that provided extra energy to the band's performance. With all respects to the late and great Charlie Watts. And then there's Mick. At 78, he still sings and dances like he's 28. The consummate performer. FIVE STARS PERFORMANCE The tickets in SusieQ1 were VERY disappointing! We sprang for Row A tickets for $2225 each but were so far from the stage that we were not able to see the band. It was the first live concert that I have been to in my 70 years that I viewed only on Jumbotron video. BestTickets seating chart gave no indication that we would be soooo far away from the stage. The tickets might have been worth $500, but certainty not $2225. Again, VERY disappointing. I would like to say it was the best Stones that I have ever seen, but I didn't really see it. ONE STAR VALUE

10 Stars for the Rolling Stones--1 Star for COTA

by MrsNeu on 11/27/21Super Stage at Circuit of The Americas - Austin

The concert itself was awesome. I don't believe the Stones are capable of giving a bad concert! Their energy was really something to behold and the set list was great! Getting to and from the event was absolutely ridiculous. So many bottlenecks with vehicle traffic led to much wasted time. Foot traffic was no better. The venue is very poorly set up for big crowds at night; poorly lit, obstacles, uneven walking areas. We walked 1.5 miles to the Silver Lawn and 1.5 miles back to the car. Our area was so full there was barely room to stand. Getting in and out of the parking lots was a joke but not a funny one. We paid $67 in advance to park in Lot F. Nobody was checking to see that we were in the right lot and the guys directing us were accepting cash bribes from anybody that would pay them to park. The concert was over at 11. We didn't get back to our car until midnight and sat in the lot for over an hour before we could even move out of our space. I've been to many concerts and sports events and never, ever had so much trouble getting to or exiting an event. Our theory is that this concert was oversold by thousands and the fact that the venue hasn't reported the attendance number seems to confirm that. I will never attend another event at COTA.

    Amazing show

by rickrocks on 11/27/21Super Stage at Circuit of The Americas - Austin

It was so awesome to finally see the Rolling Stones! Thank you for making the ticket process so easy. I also appreciate the advance emails that provided all the details about the event. I know it is not a control point for Ticketmaster, however, sitting in the Bronze lawn was so far from the stage we could hardly see the performers. Also, I was very disappointed with the price of parking. It appears that COTA was trying to make up for the lack of revenue over the past 18 months.

    Stones at COTA

by KeystoAustin on 11/27/21Super Stage at Circuit of The Americas - Austin

All staff I encountered from parking attendants to gate workers and those at the concession stands were not only efficient but very personable. That makes for a very pleasant experience. We were in the section furthest from the stage. The extra large monitors were top quality and the filming was well done. Since the event was held at such a large venue, the sound system could have been better suited to the size of the area paying fans were in. Staggering some sound towers further away from the stage would have resolved a lot of the echoing and loss of high and mid tones. It also created an actual time delay. Watching the performers on the screen a full few seconds ahead of the sound reaching us was a bit annoying. That being said, the vocals were incredibly clear, even at that distance. The first half of the show seemed a little disoriented. The sound engineers and performers seemed a bit out of step. The second half was much better. Overall it was a great show with the highlights being Jagger’s energy, Ron Woods strong guitar work, the high quality of the tight rhythm section and incredible vocal power of Sasha Allen. We arrived early and had little problem getting in to park. Leaving was a disaster. Funneling everyone to limited exits was ridiculous. They should have been able to open some of the fencing more strategically. And to take over two hours to get out of the parking lot was insane. Off sight parking with affordable shuttles would have made sense.
