  • Busy- but still fun!

    by J G on 12/1/25Red Hat Amphitheater - RaleighRating: 5 out of 5

Yes, the rink can be pretty full but, the overall ambiance of the holiday and beauty of Downtown Raleigh are worth it. A lot of places to sit and get warm. The rink is a mix of a lot of people, and eventually the crowd goes down. We always enjoy this family tradition

The weather was great. We did an early 2:30 session to beat crowds. Very pretty scenery and nice staff!! 10/10

  • Fun day skating

Very enjoyable experience. Staff is friendly, entrance and skate checkout was well organized, the music was played at a reasonable volume. My only suggestion is, I would like to see lockers there to store your belongings in.

  • Not worth it.

by Justin L. on 1/14/25Red Hat Amphitheater - RaleighRating: 1 out of 5

This experience was incredibly disappointing. They’re were way too many people let on the ice at once. The ice was horrible. Full of divots and potholes. Would never go back.

  • Good time

It was a great outing no matter the age. It was a little chilly, so make sure to dress warm if you were to go

  • it was very cute but not worth the money.

by meeka on 1/3/25Red Hat Amphitheater - RaleighRating: 2 out of 5

it was a very cute place especially at christmas time. They also had music playing the whole time and food and drink for sale. However, the rink is very small and with it being very small it was very crowded. It was $40 for 2 people to be able to skate and snail speed and dodge 10 children with big red trainer thing taking up even more space.

  • Great Time

We rented a heated igloo and had a great time. I will give the good and not-so-good feedback. The dedicated private space was great. It came with a hot cocoa bar and a few other treats. The best thing about the igloo is that we had a dedicated assistant who took care of all our needs so if we wanted food or alcohol we didn't have to wait in line, we could simply tell our assistant and then go off an have fun skating instead of waitting in line. The igloo assistant was very cheerful, helpful and friendly! Parking and getting inside the venue was easy. The bathrooms were easily accessible and clean. Room for improvement: I do agree with others that there are too many people on the ice at once so they should better organize that part. I would also reccomend a menu for the igloo as the current procedure was the assistant rattled off all the food choices and then we had to remember them. There was no pricing information available to us for the menu items. The food took EXTREMELY long even though it was not that busy and the "food"was fries, and grilled cheese. The hot drinks were not hot more like warm including the hot cocoa. Overall I would do this again.

  • Crowded Holiday Vibes - Rink small

by Crowded Holiday Vibes on 12/19/24Rating: 2 out of 5

We went for a weekend date to Raleigh and decided to try the ice skating. Overall, the facility was cute and loved the holiday vibes. We still had a lot of fun just him & I laughing. However, the rink was still too small to actually enjoy the skating, nervous of bumping into someone. Parts of the edge of the ice could have injured someone due to the gaps between wall and ice. The kids kept running sliding and taking huge chunks out of the ice with their skates causing the ice to be uneven. Very expensive as one hot chocolate was $9.
