    Powerful, Uplifting and Fun!

by Musical Lover on 10/5/22Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

The Prom is an awesome, under-appreciated show. Featuring great music, dance, humor, an important story, this was an awesome show on Broadway and continues to be as it tours the country. The ensemble cast is talented, as are the dancers. I highly recommend going to The Prom when it visits your city.

    Lotsa Fun

by Craig C on 10/4/22Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

Very reminiscent of Hairspray with the fun music numbers. The songs were great, acting was awesome and story was compelling. Two big thumbs up!

    Best play ever!!!

by Patty P. from Toronto on 10/4/22Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

What a fabulous musical!!! Danced in my seat the whole time. Stellar performance by everyone. The dancing and singing was absolutely top notch. Based on a true story about a girl who is a lesbian and not being able to attend her prom with her girlfriend. Such an important message about inclusivity. I hope that countless parents, youth, and educators got to see the PROM.

Very good cast. The show was awesome. Dancers were awesome.

by Travel Lady on 10/4/22Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

We love the “Prom”. Was very enjoyable. The only problem I had is that we were in the balcony and being a senior citizen…could not hear all the words of the cast…That did not matter too much as we enjoyed all the acting, dancing and singing.

    Great topic, music and choreography!

by Mominmenom on 4/19/22Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

I'm one of those Broadway fans that doesn't read reviews before I see a show. That said, if you're not like me and trying to decide if this is worth your time and money; trust me, it is! The story, the music, the choreography kept both my 15 year old son and I entertained the entire time!

Even better than the first time

by Jenjen on 4/19/22Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

I started tearing up during the first few notes of the overture. This is such a moving show to begin with, but this production was off the charts. We saw it during its original run on Broadway, but this cast/crew was even more talented. Everything, from the acting to the musicianship to the lighting, sound and production transitions was TOP NOTCH and points to a long, healthy life for this incredible show and its pertinent message. If it had been in town longer, I probably would've seen it multiple times.

    Recommended for a Mature Audience

by SHADS on 4/18/22Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

I really enjoyed this show and the talent was outstanding! What was a bit shocking was the amount of vulgar language that was used when this show is advertised on the Hennepin Theatre Trust website as appropriate for audiences 8 years and older. I would have to disagree with this and based on how much profanity and the profanity that was used it is not appropriate for an 8 year old and was on the borderline inappropriate for my 13 year old. Warning of caution if bringing your children, but if not.....Enjoy!!

I did not know what to expect, and I was blown away. It was so funny and the dancing was awesome. I laughed more than I thought I would and I cried a little too. All the actors were amazing and the music was catchy and made you bop along. Go see this show!!
