About

THE PACK A.D. IN CONCERT:

Canadian garage rock duo The Pack A.D. have made a name for themselves with their fuzzed-out, stripped-down sound and the fiery vocals of frontwoman Becky Black. Black and drummer Maya Miller rock a back-to-basics setup that has drawn comparisons to similarly minimal acts like the White Stripes, but the pair's emotional lyrics and bad-girl aesthetic are all their own. Whether they're treating ticket buyers to the brooding "Rocket" or  plowing through anthems like "Crazy", The Pack A.D. always impress with their passionate performances and distortion-heavy sound on tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

The Pack A.D. was formed in Vancouver in 2006 by singer/guitarist Becky Black and drummer Maya Miller. The duo quickly stormed the Canadian music scene with their blistering live shows and hard-hitting sound, and boasted a loyal following by the time they released their 2008 debut album Tintype. They continued to perfect their garage rock sound with The Funeral Mixtape (2008) and We Kill Computers (2010), supporting both albums with extensive touring. They achieved breakthrough success in 2011 with their fourth album Unpersons, which landed two singles on Canadian charts including the No. 3 hit "Sirens". The duo signed to Nettwork Productions for their fifth album Do Not Engage, a critically acclaimed release that drew them out on the road for another series of electrifying tour dates.

Great show...a drum kit, a fuzzy guitar and a great rock voice...what more do you need! I've seen them a few times and it's always been a blast.
