I see a lot of 90's-era bands and was stoked to see the 30th anniversary show for Shame About Ray, but this one was a trainwreck from the beginning. Saw them late in the tour so no way they were still working the kinks out, but songs seemed unrehearsed. He stopped a few of them and restarted after fiddling with amp or pedal settings. Video playing on the backdrop was a 2 minute clip that just kept repeating, but showed the play button and timer at bottom, so it was like watching on a computer screen. The bassist and drummer seemed like talented musicians trying to keep up with someone who was all over the place with regards to timing. Over 1,000 people turned out for the show in DC... Maybe a nostalgic cash grab, but with an audience of that size, I would expect a little more production effort.
