The Jeff Hamilton Trio Tickets

The trio was absolutely wonderful. My seat was right in the front, and it was fun to be able to watch each of the three musicians up close. Jeff Hamilton was amazing with the use of a small drum kit and the ability to use his hands as well as the sticks on the drums. Piano player top notch with his jazz playing ability. Stand up bass player also very accomplished with his instrument. All and all, I had a wonderful time and would definitely see them again.

Jeff Hamilton on drums, Tamir Hendelman on piano and Christoph Luty on bass are great soloists whose ensemble work is flawless. They appeared at the Doubletree Hotel in Reading, PA as part of the Berks County Jazz Festival. Whether playing with sticks, brushes or bare hands (!), Jeff got more sounds out of that small four-piece kit than you can imagine. He is one of the greatest drummers out there, and it was a pleasure to watch him work.
