    The Fratellis ROCK!!

by AniGirl on 5/22/18Paradise Rock Club - Boston

Seen them several times, they just get better! The club was packed but everyone was there to rock out and have a good time. Opening act Blood Red Shoes was a pleasant surprise, definitely a fun time. Love the Paradise Rock Club, shout out to the staff for keeping it moving and being cool with the crowd!

Terrific show; Fratellis skillful and playful

by middleagedstillrockin on 5/21/18Paradise Rock Club - Boston

I'm a huge fan, enjoy their different albums equally, though I'm partial to Costello Music as the classic and my introduction to the band. This was my first opportunity to see the Fratellis live. They were unforgettable, all so skilled, great performers, know their material backwards and forwards, able to play beautifully in different styles (such as an awesome swingin' country version of For the Girl, and a Fratellis-flavored Runaround Sue cover) and have fun onstage too. Highly recommend, and agree with an earlier reviewer: surprised to still be able to see them in such a small venue. Boston audience singing along with many songs, especially the Costello Music classics, but I guess their American fan base still has room to grow.

    Great show, horrible venue

by bostonlars on 5/21/18Paradise Rock Club - Boston

As expected, the Fratellis put on a great show. They sound just like they do on the cd, and have a good stage presence. However, I wouldn't recommend Paradise Rock Club to anyone. The acoustics are horrible and they never did get the sound loud enough to drown out all the rude people that talked through the entire show. Hopefully the next time the Fratellis come around they'll play a different venue.

    Check out The Fratellis

by BobFratelli on 5/20/18Theatre of Living Arts - Philadelphia

A great live band not many people seem to have heard of. If you haven't listened try them out. These guys are great in concert and the Theatre of Living Arts is a great venue. Intimate and right on top of the band. About 1000 people and the sound was amazing. These guys deserve more US recognition.

Must See - Blood Red Shoes and Fratellis

by LorenInNP on 5/8/18The Belasco Theater - Los Angeles

To be honest, I was there to see Blood Red Shoes, as I've been a huge fan since the second album and have been waiting a few years to see them play live. Was a little concerned that the sound in the venue would be an issue, but the acoustics inside the theater were excellent. This was my first time at the Belasco Theater, and it's a great place to see a show. The architecture is impressive, and the location of love seats and chairs around the rim were in good spots if needed. Really, you can easily see the band from anywhere. Knowing from concert videos where the two would usually line up, I found a great spot and couldn't believe one of my favorite bands was that close up. They sounded and played every bit as great as I expected them to. An unexpected but welcome addition was the female bass player (Kate?) who played on one song with them. I had always wanted to hear them with some bass, so that was fun. While the Fratellis were playing, my buddy and I went to the merch line and got a chance to meet both members of Blood Red Shoes. They were both very gracious, accommodating, and fun to talk to. Laura even apologized that we didn't get to hear more of a full set, and I assured her it was fantastic just to see them live. Later, we went back in to see the Fratellis, and they were excellent. I hadn't heard their music before, but I heard enough to convince me to go get some of their music. I had been told they were folk, but they were not; it was much more of a rock sound that I particularly like. I would definitely see them again. Very engaging and fun. I can't believe that a simple $25 ticket allowed me to hear two great bands in a great venue like that. Very much recommended.
