The Charlatans on Tour

With soaring guitar riffs and melodic vocals, The Charlatans proudly bear the banner of rock and roll. The Charlatans are an English indie rock band that have been making their mark for over three decades. The band's 2023 tour is set to take them throughout North America. Concerts by The Charlatans are legendary. The ringing Hammond organ and softly sung lyrics complement their now world-famous guitar riffs. With decades of touring under their belts, The Charlatans are masters of their craft. The Charlatans released their debut album, Some Friendly, in 1990, and it peaked at No. 1 on the UK's Official Albums Chart. Throughout the decade, they released other albums to climb the charts, including Between 10th and 11th (1992), Up to Our Hips (1994), The Charlatans (1995), Tellin' Stories (1997), and Us and Us Only (1999). In 2001 they released Wonderland, their third album for MCA, and it peaked at No. 2 on the UK Official Albums Chart. It was followed by Live It Like You Love It (2002), Up at the Lake (2004), Simpatico (2006), and You Cross My Path (2008), the latter of which peaked in the Top 40 on the albums chart. The 2010s saw them put out Who We Touch (2010), Tellin' Stories Live (2012), Modern Nature (2015), and Different Days (2017). In 2020, the band released their Some Friendly Demos EP.

Ketley was replaced by singer Tim Burgess. Jon Day left the band in 1991, and was replaced by guitarist Mark Collins. By the end of the '90s, Tony Rogers would be brought in as the band's new keyboard player. Peter Salisbury, former founding member of The Verve, currently fills in as the band's drummer. The band has more than 400,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Their most popular track, 1990's "The Only One I Know," has been streamed more than 45 million times. Their next most popular track on Spotify, 1997's "One to Another," has been streamed more than 14 million times.

    Finally!

by BlackFalcon on 1/15/24House of Blues Houston - Houston

Been waiting to see these guys since 1990. They didn't disappoint - great sound and energy still. My only wish was that they could've performed more classic songs but time ran out. Will catch them again the next time they're in Houston.
