    Amazing Show

    by April on 12/31/23

My family and I loved this show. We have been to many theatre events and this one was fabulous. Clara did amazing! She definitely was the one who made the show. Shine bright Clara!!! We could not believe how great all the dancers did in this production. It really added to our Christmas holiday. Thank you!

    It was fine

    by Clara on 12/24/23

For a local kids' Nutcracker, it was fine. The Russian Queen and Butterfly Queen were really good. It was decently well done, but nothing terribly special. But if you remember it's just a kids' dance studio, then it's pretty good. But that's the problem. Make clear that it's just a local kids' dance recital, so people aren't expecting a professional ballet, and it would be fine. But the new name seems like they're trying to trick the audience into expecting more than it actually is. Again, if I'd known what this was, I wouldn't have gone in with such high expectations.

    Bring back Paper Program

    by John on 12/20/23

After the show we saw the QR code for the program but it’s hard to see on a phone! Some of the pictures of cast were grainy. Would have liked to have the real version to read or for my kids to read. Show was very well done and would return.

    Great Local Performance!!

by HappyInBuckeye on 12/20/23Madison Center for the Arts - Phoenix

I have been to many Nutcracker performances, including the Bolshoi Ballet. This performance, with mainly young people and local dancers, was very well done. My family thoroughly enjoyed it!!

    Enjoy the Magic

    by Fred on 12/20/23

It was my first time seeing this version of the Nutcracker and I was impressed by what these kids were able to accomplish in a relatively short period of time. The costumes were great, the backdrops were well done, and the falling snow was a nice touch. I loved that this production gives young dancers an opportunity to take on all of the roles which typically doesn't happen. Well done and looking forward to seeing it again next year! Aw, sounds like Stacey didn't get enough hugs from her Mom as a kid. It takes a special person to criticize a group of kids that put their heart and soul into these performances. Hopefully, the Holiday season will remind her that we should be building up young people and not trying to tear them down. Of course, I eagerly await Stacey's next performance. Better yet, I hear there will be a new Queen for next year - the Keyboard Warrior Queen! Stacey will be perfect!

    Not a great view

by Dancer1 on 12/20/23Madison Center for the Arts - Phoenix

The lobby was nice, but they did not take Apple Pay which was frustrating. It said on the website no bags yet everyone was allowed a bag so I didn't bring much with me. Good snack choices. The seating was not the best. We were in Row S and two rows ahead I had a woman's head blocking my view of the center stage. She was not unusually tall either. I had to move my head side to side to see anything. The view from Desert Vista High School was better. The performance itself was good but I didn't really enjoy it because of the lack of incline in the auditorium. I will not return to this location unless I can purchase much better seats or have everyone sit on the aisle.

by SS on 12/19/23Madison Center for the Arts - Phoenix

Very well done. Surprising that they get kids to work that well together.
