Best show I've been to yet.

-

UNFORGETTABLE show. Loved the band before but came away superfan-tier, tbh. Everything was amazing- the show was so atmospheric with all its iconic pink lights and backdrops set to match the song being played, and the music was as incredible as you'd expect from this band. I honestly don't even remember how many songs they played but it was a fantastically long setlist: they played all my favorites and more, with a banging rendition of Sex for the finale that topped any song I've heard live. All in all, this show left me confident I'd buy tickets to see this band again every chance I got no matter what. My only complaint is that the opening acts were a big miss for me, or at least not my thing but the rest of the show was pure brilliance.

The 1975 doesn't ever fail! Incredible show, been following them all tour and they blew me away every night, but especially here at Madison Square Garden. Truly one of the best shows and best staff!

The 1975 are incredible performers who will keep you engaged the whole show. Their stage crew works wonders with the lighting to enhance the mood of the overall show, overall would recommend.

Overall amazing but couldn't get into the pit

-

The concert and the band itself was absolutely unforgettable. I love the 1975 and they are amazing whenever I see them. However, this tour they changed it so only a limited number of people could get into the pit. I understand the safety reasons and they are the only band that I've seen actually do anything more than tell people to take a step back. They gave wristbands to get in early to the first people that showed up (people started waiting days before hand) and then pit wristbands to the first people who actually got into the venue the day of the concert. By the time we had gotten in, the wristbands were out and we had to go on the lawn. If we had known this we would have shown up earlier and tried to get a better spot in line. Nevertheless the concert was still amazing on the lawn, I just prefer the pit and was disappointed to find out I could not get in.

Worth every penny

So I've been listening to this band for about 4-5 years now so I know a lot of the songs. Their performance was perfect, the stage effects were magical and everything about their voices were beautiful

Their set was gorgeous with all of the neon lights and overall aesthetic. The energy was great and the band really connected with the crowd. They sound great live and definitely know how to put on a show! Also Matty's dancing was amusing and it was an overall good vibe.

Best concert I've been to by far!

-

There are so many reasons why I loved this concert, but I'm only gonna list a few as to not make this review too long. The first reason I loved this concert was because The 1975 is my favorite band, so of course I would love seeing them no matter what the conditions were. Also, Matt's energy on stage was so fun and lively that it got everyone hyped. I couldn't not dance because he was just up there doing his thing. The lighting and "special effects" were so cool and beautiful as well. If you love The 1975, definitely try to see one of their concerts.

Biography

THE 1975 IN CONCERT:

Following up four critically acclaimed EPs, British alt-rockers The 1975 made their highly anticipated album debut in 2013, edging out the Nine Inch Nails' comeback record for the No. 1 spot on the UK Albums Chart. Featuring the band's signature blend of classic '80s pop and ethereal electronic elements, the self-titled album's outsized drum breaks and kaleidoscopic guitar work translate beautifully in concert settings. Hot on the heels of a string of intimate performances in 2013, The 1975 have fans eagerly awaiting their 2014 North American tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

The members of The 1975 have been making music together since 2002, but it wasn't until 2012 that they began recording under the moniker. Over the course of 2012-2013 the band released 4 EPs, exploring a variety of styles ranging from synthpop to shoegaze. Their self-titled 2013 debut synthesized these elements, topping the UK Albums charts and spawning five singles including "Chocolate" and "Sex." Encoring their 2013 US shows, the band will treat North American fans to another batch of intimate performances in 2014.
