Excellent singers and dancers. The leads were awesome. Loved that show told her total story - the good and the bad.

Great show

Well paced. Very talented performers. Enjoyed the mix of songs and story. The only odd thing was the women in the ensemble dressed as men. I suppose they were saving money.

Worst $130 ever spent!
James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago
This production touted as a musical had no production at all. As a high school teacher, our school musicals are almost ALWAYS better! Although the talent was there, the production was flat. I do not recommend this BROADWAY ON CHICAGO to anyone who values their money!

A Summer of memories and feelings.
James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago
While others may have dissed the script of this show, I found it nicely tying together Donna Summer's roller coaster life, choices, desires, and extreme talent. The staging appears simple but exquisitely complex to make it so. Very clean, arty, and to the point. The acting was good and the singing was EXCELLENT. Greatly appreciated that full songs were completed or staged to really experience them, not annotated as done in some stories like this. The quality of the talent was beyond the moon and every single cast member deserves 5 stars for their stage presence in honoring Ms. Summer. My only quirk was the dual casting of females thru out as a 'method' to drive a point of 'a' or 'non' or "choice" sexuality, while running a theme that men in society at that time were primarily just awful. I dunno, anybody that lived that era is quite 'woke' to the concept and the method was simply distracting/unnecessary IMO. Regardless, a wonderful and heartfelt tribute to a superstar.

Great music -
James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago
Music was great. Actors playing Donna we're good especially the two older ones. Story and visuals are confusing with multiple Donna's on stage at same time several times and too few actors playing too many roles. So many actors are repeated in different roles. Also staff is too heavily filled with women so many times they are playing men with bad wigs. Overall enjoyed it mostly for the music but staging could have been improved.

Awesome Time
James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago
It was a fun time for you to sing and fellowship w/DONNA Summers lovers!
She was a girl from Boston with a voice from heaven, who shot through the stars from gospel choir to dance floor diva. But what the world didn't know was how Donna Summer risked it all to break through barriers, becoming the icon of an era and the inspiration for every music diva who followed. With a score featuring more than 20 of Summer's classic hits including "Love to Love You Baby," "Bad Girls" and "Hot Stuff," this electric experience is a moving tribute to the voice of a generation.
