Six women come together in this hilarious and heartwarming story of life, love and loss in Louisiana's Chinquapin County. At the center of the group is Shelby Eatenton, newly married and joyfully pregnant even in the face of her diabetes. Her mother, M'Lynn Eatenton, looks to her four closest friends for strength and laughter as she battles her deepest fears in order to join Shelby in celebrating the miracle of a new life. The action is set in Truvy's beauty salon, where all the ladies who are "anybody" come to have their hair done.

The ladies nailed it just like the cast members of the hollywood version. The lady that was shelbys mom actually looks like sally field. ..Really fun play. I enjoyed every bit of it and so did my good friend and me mum and me daughter.
We thoroughly enjoyed this play. It was fun, sad, humorous, and totally relatable. It was very very good. We would gladly see it again if we could.
Loved it! So fun to see Ruta Lee in a Casa production again! The cast really clicked together and it was obvious that they were enjoying their performance as much as we enjoyed watching them.
Ruta Lee and the entire cast was amazing. We enjoyed both the laughs and the tears. It was a magnificent performance.
I recommend Steel Magnolia for a girl's out. Very funny and touching! It went so fast, the girls payed very well... Great performance!
