Sloppy Jane on Tour

New York City-born performance artist Sloppy Jane delivers a haunting version of theatrical avant-punk with mesmerizing eccentricity. In chaotic and often off-tempo lyrics, Sloppy Jane covers a range of topics, from volatile relationship songs and body image issues to outlandish imaginary scenarios. The band's performances are impressively supported by a 21-piece blended rock band and chamber orchestra. Crowds will never know what to expect, with past shows featuring delightfully bizarre theatrical performances, interpretive dance and more. Fans won't want to miss their chance to be dazzled with performances from the band's most recent album Madison on the Sloppy Jane "Madison" Tour 2022.

Sloppy Jane Live in Concert

Haley Dahl was born in New York City in 1995 and later raised in Los Angeles. She formed the avant-garde rock band Sloppy Jane at the young age of 15, performing on the Sunset Strip for passersby with friends. In her early years, she made an artistic statement by wearing an unwashed one-suit for an entire year, with plans to wear it until it "rots off her body" and eat it later. In 2014, Sloppy Jane released her first demos, Totally Limbless and Burger Radio. The lineup consisted of Haley Dahl on vocals and guitar, Phoebe Bridgers on bass and background vocals, and Imogen Teasley-Vlautin on drums. The group released their post-punk/proto-punk debut EP Sure-Tuff via Lolipop Records in 2015. They later incorporated unconventional instruments like glockenspiel and flexatone in their debut, self-released 2018 studio album, Willow. In 2019, Dahl moved back to New York City and landed a month-long residency as Sloppy Jane at Baby's All Right in Brooklyn. She signed to Bridgers' Saddest Factory Records in 2021 and released the breakthrough second studio album Madison. It took three years to scout the recording location for the album, which was recorded underground in Lost World Caverns in West Virginia. The unique acoustics were captured over two weeks of recording, with an audio engineer operating a mixing board from a car 90 feet above.

    It was transcendent

by Kennedy W on 10/20/22The Cambridge Room at House Of Blues - Dallas

The opener, NIIS, was new to me, and I was absolutely blown away. It was such a small show, but that made the experience all the better. Once Sloppy Jane came out, I was immediately just put in a perfect trance, and taken somewhere else. Haley's vocals carry so much emotion and really make you feel a lot. But it's the entirety of the performance that I love. Each member of the band is playing a role constantly and makes for a really solid show. Afterwards, I was lucky enough to be able to briefly talk to Haley and she signed my hat. Super nice, everything was perfect.

One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to

by Blaine on 10/19/22The Cambridge Room at House Of Blues - Dallas

I’m not a big fan of house of blues Dallas as a venue, but sloppy jane was able to bring everybody close together. We all felt like one big family. The audience participation was so fun and they performed very well.
