    Excellent!

by C. S. on 11/30/19Smart Financial Centre at Sugar Land - Sugar Land

Really a fine experience. Great ballet! I was shocked not to see more people attending. Also shocked that some attendees obviously did not read that this was more of an adult experience -- very macabre in many ways and not a Disney extravaganza -- and so brought children. However, my group thoroughly enjoyed it.

    Absolutely mind blowing

by Dan on 11/26/19Smart Financial Centre at Sugar Land - Sugar Land

This was an excellent performance. Totally recommended, an interesting blend of modern tech and human body moves, sharpened to perfection. The music is excellent, the screen emerges you into the happening and makes you feel part of the surreal act. Would this be the ballet of the future?

    Boston Show

    by IR on 11/26/19

I saw the show in Boston. Dancing quality is good, but it is hidden by the giant movie screen where all attention is concentrated. Sometimes dancer is barely seen, was this the original goal? Visual images on the screen are colorful and interesting but there is nothing new, nothing that had not already been discovered. I intended to look at a ballet but faced the cartoons instead, many other people might feel the same way. The tickets were overpriced for what was in the show. Besides it was cold in the Orpheum Theater, this is the first time when I faced this low temperature at a performance. They may have saved on heating a lot. I put 2 out of 5.

    Houston Show

    by A. G. on 11/24/19

I have been looking for a performance of this caliber, it’s modernism May have been too avant-garde for most but right up the alley for the creative and artistic mind. From dance to music the subtle way in which Sleeping Beauty’s dreams where interpreted was original and powerful. Beautiful and brilliant!

    SLEEPING BEAUTY DREAMS ELECTRIFIES DALLAS

by Creative Juice Onilne on 11/23/19

As I anticipated the Dallas tour stop of Sleeping Beauty Dreams I was truly not prepared for what took place, this is a great thing. Being a fan of the performing arts, music and technology this experience has the best of everything and took the mind, conscious and unconscious on a journey of site and sound. Sleeping Beauty Dreams has been described as such, “Sleeping Beauty Dreams brings the dream realm to life. “The incorporation of real-time data and revolutionary technology allow us to create digital avatars that mimic Sleeping Beauty in her dreamscape. We believe this immersive experience for the audience is the future of performing arts.”. Truly from the very beginning to the very end, the technology, the music, the theatrical movement by the lead dancer was top notch. Sleeping Beauty Dreams takes you into the mind and state of being in an actual dream and when the event is over you are left wanting more. Make sure to catch the tour next in Houston, Texas tonight! 11/23/19.

Brilliant!! Beyond amazed with this show! I went in not knowing what to expect and was blown away. It's definitely not Ballet, it is so much better. I felt moved by the visuals and fully immersed in the music. Great show!

    Really interesting performance!

by C. C. on 11/19/19Orpheum Theatre presented by Citizens Bank - Boston

I wouldn't call myself a contemporary dance fan, but I decided to give this a try after hearing good things about their use of avatar technology... and I'm glad I did! The dance was well executed and integrated with the technology. The music was also very powerful, with strong beats juxtaposed against more constant ambient sounds in a way that further elevated both acts. I particularly loved feeling the bass echoing through my own body in the most dramatic scenes. Great venue (Orpheum Theater, Boston) and a great show!
