Loved being part of the show!

by Karenfixe on 3/21/23California Theatre of the Performing Arts - San Bernardino

After seeing the film, I took my son School of Rock. He loved it!!! The most surprising part was the end when we (the audience) became part of the show! We all chanted "School of Rock!" at the end for an encore. There were so many fun surprises and humor built into the show that kept us laughing even though we knew how it would end. The actor who played Dewey Finn was incredible and perfected Jack Black's mannerisms. My son played the Broadway recording all the way home. The only downside was that the music was so loud that we could not hear the song lyrics.

A couple of my friends thought it got off to a slow start but asbit picked up momentum it just got better and better. Winston Peacock was perfect as Dewey Finn and the entire cast was amazing. So much talent. Would definitely recommend this show.

    Entertaining Show!

by Jo on 7/27/22Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red Bank

The cast was excellent-very talented group of actors. Microphone for Dewey in the first act was cutting in and out and hard to hear but was fixed during intermission so much easier to hear him. Popcorn way too salty! Other than that we all enjoyed the show.

    Incredible show!

Dan Keyser was excellent as Dewey Finn and brought the perfect mix of enthusiasm, empathy, and humor. All of the children shined as well, particularly the two guitarists, drummer, and keyboardist who actually played their parts live on stage. The actor who played Billy (Desmond Elyseev) was also a stand-out favorite in our group.

An Exhilerating and Emotionally- Riveting Production!

by Arnie on 7/26/22Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red Bank

I was extremely captivated and moved by the professional performances of the entire cast. Kudos to all and especially to the director, Corey Rubel. The only downside to the evening was seeing so many empty seats in the orchestra section close to the stage which were not made available when I ordered my tickets online 3 weeks before, leaving me to purchase front row orchestra seats that were awful. The only way to see the stage from those sits was to sit on the edge of your seat and lean over the wall. Those sits should never, ever be sold, let alone for the same price as the orchestra seats! Fortunately we made our way to empty seats in the the seventh row of center orchestra, which saved the
