Santana in Concert
Few musicians in the history of American popular music inspire the same reverence as Carlos Santana. For more than four decades, he has been one of the music world's most distinctive and exciting guitarists, maintaining his reputation as an artist who continues to revolutionize the form.
Long before listeners knew terms like "fusion" and "world music," Santana was already a master who blended genres and traditions into a sound that was all his own. It's no wonder the young guitarist generated so much excitement as a foremost member of the Bay Area's fertile music community of the late 1960s.
With the release of his debut album Santana and an incendiary set at Woodstock in 1969, Santana established himself as one of the key artists of the era, gaining worldwide fame for his band's combination of Latin, jazz, blues, rock, and R&B. The new star proved his staying power when Santana remained on the Billboard charts and successors Abraxas and Santana III both reached No. 1.
In 1998, Santana was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In addition to racking up career sales of more than 100 million records, he earned another spot in history books when Supernatural — the multiplatinum 1999 album that included such hits as "Smooth" and "Maria Maria" — won nine Grammy Awards, tying the record for most wins by a single project.
In 2014, he published his best-selling memoir, The Universal Tone: Bringing My Story to Light. Among his recent musical endeavors has been Santana IV, a thrilling album that saw him reunite with musicians from his band's early-‘70s lineup; and Power of Peace, a deeply soulful collaboration with The Isley Brothers.
Santana returned with more new music in 2019. In Search of Mona Lisa is an EP featuring three instrumentals inspired by the awe he felt the first time he saw Leonardo da Vinci's painting during a visit to the Louvre. Santana continues to inspire the same reaction at shows by the current incarnation of the band that bears his name. His team of first-tier players includes drummer Cindy Blackman Santana (Lenny Kravitz, Pharoah Sanders), bassist Benny Rietveld (Miles Davis, Sheila E.), keyboardist David K. Mathews (Tower of Power, Etta James), and percussionist Karl Perazzo (Mariah Carey, Tito Puente).
Santana on Tour
Grammy Award-winning, legendary artists Carlos Santana and Earth, Wind & Fire embark on a North American tour. A continuation of 2019's Supernatural Now tour for Santana, the Miraculous Supernatural 2020 Tour marks the first time these two powerhouses share the stage in the U.S. The Live Nation-produced outing kicks off June 19th in San Diego and makes stops in Los Angeles, Dallas, New York, Chicago, Toronto, and more before wrapping August 29th in Tampa.
Santana, and his band (which also features Santana's wife, Cindy Blackman Santana) highlight songs from both his Supernatural and Woodstock eras, as well as newer tracks from his 2019 full-length album Africa Speaks and some incredible surprises. Earth, Wind & Fire is one of music's most celebrated musical forces in history with an iconic music catalog that has been the soundtrack of millions of lives around the world.
In 2019, Santana celebrated the 20th anniversary of his revolutionary, multiple Grammy Award-wining album Supernatural, along with the 50th anniversary of his Woodstock performance. Santana's 1999 album Supernatural featured the back-to-back No. 1 singles "Smooth" and "Maria Maria" and sold over 30 million copies worldwide, topping the charts in over a dozen countries and sweeping the 2000 Grammy Awards.

Amazing show! Amazing venue! Went 2 nights in a row, and still was not enough!!!
I have seen a zillion concerts and Santana at HOB has to be one of the best I've seen.
Third time seeing Santana residency and love that he changes up the setlist. Still has to play a certain number of hits but he had a Latin/African tinged to Sunday night's show. Seen him do a Blues and a rock show. Way to go Carlos
I love Santana and had been eager to see this show for months. Sadly we had to leave after about 30 minutes as the volume was so loud I had ear pain, and headache, and I WAS wearing ear plugs. My companions both have significant hearing loss, and they were OK because they removed their hearing aids. It baffles me why the volume had to be so high, I don’t understand how excessive volume can possibly improve a show. I have never been to a concert that was even close to this volume. Even the Mad Apple show which was quite loud was tolerable. I’m not sure how a show like this can be considered accessible to someone like me with good hearing.
Just saw SANTANA at house of blues vegas . Fantastic. Great venue, small, intimate. The band is awesome, Carlos is a magician. The joy the band plays, with adds to the experience. I have been 4 times in the last few years and can't wait to go again.
I took my lady to see Santana for her first time and the 35th+ time for me. I have never been disappointed with the energy and passion that the Santana Band brings each and every time that I have seen them. It's always a spiritual experience thru musical vibrations. I will continue to see him every chance I get. The House of Blues is a great intimate venue for his music. My mom was also born in Autlan, Jalisco, Carlos birthplace so I feel like he's my primo!
HOB facility was great, service was great, performance was great, had a great time.
I was treating my brother to the show for his 70th birthday. He was the one who turned me onto Carlos. The last time we saw Carlos together was...50 years ago, in Tokyo (on his Lotus Tour)! So, this was not just any birthday present. And, Carlos didn't disappoint. HE is a beam of light, as he always reminds us to be. (Just wish he had played "Toussaint Louverture,"because it's my brother's favorite song.)
Loved the venue. Great intimate night of music. Santana may be 76 but he sure can play a guitar. The sound was incredible. Highly recommend.
Santana, even at his age has got it in him to keep you engrossed. A great performer whose hands are like magic on the guitar.
Great night of Santana’s hits. Dominated by Percussion. Carlos can still play his unique style. Overall I recommend.
Amazing performance by Carlos and the band. Just perfect night for us as we’d travelled from England and were not disappointed! Great venue, professional friendly staff, great drink options and food. We had VIP tickets and did expect a little more than 4 cookies as our ‘treat’ but not worth complaining about. Highly recommended if you’re a Santana fan!
Top quality. Music masters. So happy to dance live to this level of talent.
Amazing, great to see him, still rocking! All his hits were played, Immerse yourself to the sounds of Carlos Santana! VERY IMPRESSIVE! HIGHLY recommend.. House of blues never fails!
Fantastic!!! We enjoyed every minute. Such an awesome show. We sat in the bar section and it was perfect for viewing. Definitely recommend.
Been a Santana fan since Woodstock. Not only is he a fabulous guitarist but he is also a wonderful person. Thank you Carlos🙏‼️
Santana's show was amazing - would definitely go see it again if back in Las Vegas. Carlos was right on with his smooth guitar playing, his spouse Lucy - the drummer - was a powerhouse on her own, the rest of the band all played so tight - an incredibly good show! The mosh pit was the place to be....room to dance an bit and be up close!
Amazing sound, show, Santana doesn't miss a beat. His band is great, the Venue was perfect.
The show was good from start to finish! Abucket list item for anyone.
I loved the performance and his wife is the best drummer ever!!!! ❤️
