Sabrina Claudio on Tour
Sabrina Claudio is an impossibly captivating force on an album — her lightly experimental and deeply affecting R&B is an intoxicating swirl of emotional connection, vocal seduction and all-around intimacy. Naturally, all of those qualities are intensified in a live setting, where the Miami-born singer and songwriter surrounds herself with a small band capable of creating a powerful groove. Claudio's music has occasionally been called "nü-quiet storm," referencing the moody but cool, enveloping atmosphere of her music, which plays like a mix of Sade's mellow, Maxwell's neo-soul sincerity and FKA twigs' avant tendencies swirled up with small doses of bossa nova, trip-hop, jazz and modern pop production. But Claudio herself is the primary source of slow-burning magic — when the show strips down to just voice and guitar, the minimalism only enhances her ability to hold audiences rapt. It's no wonder she sparkles as a guest on songs by EDM producers (Chainsmokers, Kaskade) and rappers alike (A$AP Rocky, Wale), not to mention alongside seasoned smooth-talker ZAYN, formerly of One Direction, who appears on Claudio's 2019 album, Truth Is. While A-list collaborations speak to Claudio's immense talent, her artistry talks loudest, even (especially) during her hushed performances.
Sabrina Claudio History
Sabrina Claudio grew up in Fort Lauderdale, the daughter of a Cuban mother and Puerto Rican father. Early immersion in local Latin-influenced dance music eventually transformed into an obsession with the R&B her folks listened to — artists like Mariah Carey and Destiny's Child — while her initial interest in dancing and modeling evolved into the desire to become a fully fledged music artist herself. She first took to YouTube, sharing covers of songs by Amy Winehouse, Beyoncé and Rihanna. She also made the move to Los Angeles to be closer to the music business and, in 2016, began self-releasing her aching, '90s-inspired R&B songs on SoundCloud. Claudio smartly parlayed her rising fame — millions of plays racked up over mere months — into 2017's independent Confidently Lost EP, a gorgeous set of sultry ballads that not only positioned her as the next most exciting voice in R&B, but also scored her a deal with Atlantic. Her About Time mixtape, released before the end of the year, proved that she could transfix listeners across an album's worth of rich, inventive, modern soul. It also paved the way to a spot on the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack, and 2018's especially intimate No Rain, No Flowers LP. In late 2019, Claudio returned with Truth Is, an album that found her stepping up her pop chops by working with hitmakers like Julia Michaels and Sir Nolan, while at the same time deepening and darkening her groove-heavy sound and heartrending lyrics.
Previously, Sabrina Claudio has sold out venues to capacity, like Tabernacle (Atlanta) and the House of Blues.
Saw her at the Hollywood Palladium and I was not let down. This was my first concert in years and she was amazing! She had a great performance & a great band behind her. Definitely would go see her again!
she was fricking amazing also palladium was a nice venue and the themed drinks were a cherry on top
The performances was alright really loved it. Good environment if I may say just didn’t like the standing around lol.
Great music n sound but the Venue should be updated.
Loveeeeeee! Amazing concert! Sabrina was mesmerizing and captivating with her beautiful voice. She was constantly engaged with the audience and her performance was sexy, flirtatious, and fun.
Had an amazing night seeing Sabrina Claudio, great wine and amazing venue.
The concert was so amazing! It was my first experience at a concert and Sabrina’s visuals were phenomenal. It was a very intimate venue and I would definitely do it again. 10/10 best night of my life getting to see her live.
VIP Access was an okay. The perk about VIP was getting in early and the merchandise but there was no preferred sitting. We had to stand for about 4 hours so that was tiring. If we wanted to sit, we had to upgrade our VIP tickets and that was $125 each person and the seats were all the way to the back or up in the balcony so it wasn't worth it. The concert started around 8 ish with Tripp Carter performing. Then it was silent for a long time. Sabrina then came out. She performed for about 1 hour only. She did put on a great show though. I feel like the price for her tickets were too pricey for only performing 1 hour. I don't know if I would go again. Love her music but tickets are pricey to only see her 1 hour.
she was so beautiful and i got front row 😜😜 #recommend
Worth every moment! She did not disappoint! Thank you, Sabrina…💋
The venue location absolutely stunning. The organization and the helpfulness of the staff was amazing. The quality of the merchandise could have represented her style better. Much better detail could have been given. The Stage presence ….eh…and yet the focus on her is where it should be…The lighting I loved. The band placement was good. Standing so long to see her as VIP was rough (my back was killing me, note to self)
Everything went amazing thank you ticket master for helping me secure those tickets the concert was amazing!
Loved the venue, how quickly the lines went. Phenomenal performer. I was so excited as this was my first concert and it blew me away. Will definitely go again soon!
She sounds amazing! The fact she came out so late and only played for a little over an hour was disappointing.
We waited to see Sabrina since 3 and the venue offers fast pass for 25$ they don’t care about fans only profit. There isn’t a limit to the amount of people that can but fast pass!! They allow them to enter an hour before the show and at least 60 people entered the venue
Lover her. She performed amazing and had a great vibe. I just wish the venue would have been one with seats. To be able to just sit back and vibe.
Sabrina delivered a standing ovation performance! Such a sweet, sexy, talented and down to earth woman! Can’t wait to see her live again!
God bless her. Best real talent you will ever see in your life.
My boyfriend and I attended her Toronto show- waited in line from 2pm and got a great spot at the front of the venue. We managed to get through the opener (Black Party-he was great) but then my boyfriend fainted 15 minutes before Sabrina Claudio went on stage so we had to leave and were unfortunately unable to see her perform :( wish we got to see her or she had a second Toronto show…I definitely feel like I missed out on a great show from one of my absolute favourite artists
I've seen Sabrina since her first EP release years ago, and it's always a good time. She is singing live, honey! She loves to interact with the crowd so you feel connected to the music. A great show to go to with friends, partners, or solo.
