Ruth B was very solid live and would definitely see her again. The Basement is aptly named and definitely provides a small and intimate setting but is a little rough. The upstairs/outdoor Express Live is a much better venue.
Ruth B is a phenomenal singer. It was an intimate evening, and the ticket was worth it.
Ruth B. was great!! My daughter is a big fan of hers and for an 8yo to see her idol that way, she loved how we got to see her up close and personal. The opening act with Hailey Knox was equally amazing! She has some new fans now! As it was standing room only, I anticipated as much that to get a good view, I would need to get there early, especially since a had my daughter and she would not have had a good view if we did not get there at a good time. It just felt like the venue wasn't very organized as people lined up by the door haphazardly and we were moved around a few times on location of where we would need to line up. I understand that it would have been rude to cover people's businesses but it might help to at least have a sign or something like a rope to indicate that it would have to be in this area to get into the venue. When we were moved from our spot, other people became the first few in line instead of those that were waiting, which was upsetting and were some arguments by other concert goers. I wish I knew about the meet and greet prior for additional fee, but i'm glad she came out after the concert to still see some fans as well. We got lucky we stayed for a bit. All in all, it was an unforgettable experience for me and my daughter to have shared!
Great show, small arena not overly crowded. Lots of kids which made the size of the venue nice. It was family friendly and the kids we able to have a great view of their favorite singer :)
Her performance was awesome and she stayed after the show to meet and greet everyone! She is so gracious and humble and sweet. She was so kind to my 13 year old daughter and her friend and they have just been in awe ever since. Thank you so much for an experience they will always remember!!
