    Almost Live!

by J. M. on 11/23/19FirstOntario Concert Hall (Formerly Hamilton Place) - Hamilton

The show was very well put together including interaction between the holograms and the band and with the audience. My wife and I enjoyed the music but found the show a little short, under 2 hours with a 15 minute intermission. A change in clothing for the holograms would have been fun too and add to the performance. The venue was easy to get to with ample parking available.

This show was awesome. The background musicians and singers were tremendous. The visual effects were outstanding. Worth every penny! Would love to see this done with the Beatles!

    Worth the wait!!

by Annie on 11/22/19FirstOntario Concert Hall (Formerly Hamilton Place) - Hamilton

My husband said he waited 60 years to see Buddy Holly and he was not disappointed. That paper boy in the song "American Pie" is my hubby. Vocals were amazing and back up band was top notch. Only observation is that Roy and Buddy images could have been made a bit taller in relation to the band. Just slightly off. Otherwise FANTASTIC!!!!

    Awesome

by Stacie on 11/20/19Rochester Auditorium Theatre - Rochester

This show was great. Buddy and Roy are amazing. My husband actually gasped when Roy rose up like he was on a platform coming up from under the floor. He thought it was a impersonator. So much fun great music.

The music itself was good, but show very disappointing.

Because our seating was left of center stage, we could many times see the backup singers through the hologram making it less believable. The color of the lighting on the backup singers was the difference. Certain colored lighting you could not see the backup singers. Also, even though it was announced before the performance regarding use of cell phones and taking pictures of the performance, it was happening around us which was very distracting.

    Roy & Buddy

by Bob T on 11/20/19Rochester Auditorium Theatre - Rochester

Amazing & creepy at the same time. So glad we went to see this. The hologram was incredible. Everything was great. What an experience. I feel bad for the live band as they can’t play out of the structure. It would be nice to introduce the band members, they did a terrific job, and deserve acknowledgment. The creepy part is the puff and their gone part.

    Just OK

by Skipleh on 11/20/19Rochester Auditorium Theatre - Rochester

Now that I've seen the technology once, I'm over it. VERY VERY impersonal no audience engagement, at the VERY LEAST, they could have at some point introduced the 7 live performers on stage.Save your money and go see the Buddy Holly Story the next time it comes to a live theater near you instead. My wife fell asleep.

    UNBELIEVABLE

by WHM on 11/20/19Rochester Auditorium Theatre - Rochester

This concert was like seeing a live performer. We are still in shock that the entire concert was so lifelike that at first we thought it might have been a lookalike stand-in. But it wasn't WOW
