    Rowdy friends tour

by rowdyinboots on 10/30/10RBC Center - Raleigh

Only got to see the last 2 acts of the night due to the lousy traffic plans. The state fair was going on and the area had been designated as a park and ride. Piss poor planning! I was upset with the amount that I paid for "8" tickets and then having to apologize that not only did we miss the 1st 2 performances but the had to use the bathroom in the woods at night. The performances that we did see were really great!

    Loved Hank!!

by RNRG on 10/29/10RBC Center - Raleigh

I have wanted to see Hank Jr my whole life. Finally decided to fly across the country for a little vacation and music. This concert was AMAZING!! Hank Jr is Hank Jr and he is awesome! I want to mention I was also impressed with the RBC Center for sending me an email letting me know there was traffic to be expected because of the State Fair. This encouraged me to leave early and even though I sat in traffic for two hours, I made it to the concert on time. Okay, back to the concert review. Josh Thompson was good, his voice kind of reminds me of Steve Earle at time. I wasn't super familiar with Colt Ford, but he came out and rocked it. Jamey Johnson didn't disappoint. Overall it was a great concert!

    Hank hasgone political!

    by ghodges72 on 10/26/10RBC Center - Raleigh

Josh Thompson was good. Colt Ford put on a good show. Jamey Johnson can sing anything and just about did. He is best thing country music has seen in a long time. Hank has become too political. He needs to choose to sing or run for office. People pay their hard earned money to have a good time at his shows and hear him sing not listen to his political views.

    Hank Jr. is awesome!!

    by DPM75 on 10/26/10RBC Center - Raleigh

I go to a lot of live shows and have seen some big names, country, rock, you name it. Hank williams Jr. puts them all to shame. This guy had the entire crowd right in the palm of his hand. His energy is amazing. He played all instruments on the stage and was equally great at them all! Top notch!! Unfortunatley the same cannot be said for Jamie Johnson. This was the second time I have seen him, he was bad both times. I like his music just fine but he is not good at all live. He just kind of stands in one spot and every song sounded just like the one before it. Colt Ford is worth seeing again.

The concert was great but the traffic was horrendous!!!! We left in time to be there at 5:30 but since the state fair was at the same place we were stuck in traffic for almost 2 hours. By the time we got parked & got to our seats Josh Thompson had already played & got off the stage. He was one of the artists we were looking most forward to seeing so we feel like we were short-changed. We enjoyed the rest of the concert but were very disappointed that we did not get to see Josh Thompson. We also feel like Colt Ford & Jamie Johnson didn't play long enough. They only played for about 30 min each but Hank Williams Jr. was awesome! He rocked the stage the whole time he was on it. We would definitely go again but not if it is scheduled along with another big event. If traffic wasn't so bad & we could have seen all 4 artists we would definitely have given this event a 5-star rating. We also felt like the line-up was backwards. Jamie Johnson was very slow and should have started the show and ended his part with a more up-beat song.

Loved when Jamey was brought out at the end

    by chilly2010 on 10/25/10RBC Center - Raleigh

I have never seen hank, but I now know why he is known as "The Entertainer". I was really impressed how he got the crowd going and that he sang all of my favorite OLD songs from the 70's and early 80's. I thought I would never hear these songs at a concert. My husband has seen Hank over 20 times and is a huge fan. He was also impressed that Hank sang these songs. We went to this concert really to see Jamey Johnson, because we have seen him 3 times this year alone and he is an awesome singer. We would have liked to have seen him sing more. The RBC Center is a great concert venue and we have seen Eric Clapton there a few months ago. Our seats were okay, would have liked closer ones, but for the price, it was good. The Raleigh Fair was going on at the same time, so traffic was a bit crowded, but we had a great time and will return to the RBC Center.

    Hank was good .....but

by Trueheart on 10/25/10RBC Center - Raleigh

I'm sure the hole concert would have been great had I seen all the performers . Only saw Jamey Johnson perform 4 songs, saw all of Hank totally missed colt ford and Josh Thompson thanks to the traffic mess in raleigh was in traffic over 3 hours sat on the exit ramp over an hour , missed over half the concert and will never go back to the RBC for another concert . If your going to have all these events u need to get it together town of Raleigh !! Still pissed!

    There wasn't enough playtime!

by treloron on 10/25/10RBC Center - Raleigh

I LOVED the concert, but it seemed like the sets were not long enough! I do wish that Hank Jr. would have sang some of his older stuff, and sang the songs all the way through. His talent is absolutely incredible! I did enjoy the show though! Very much!

    Josh Thompson Rocked

by Anonymous on 10/25/10RBC Center - Raleigh

Josh Thompson really got the party started ! Never had heard of him but glad to know him now. Loved his music. Jamey Johnson was his usual laid back self ,not really a showman but he can get away with it cause he is strong in song. A J J fan from the start ! To be honest I thought Hank Jr was an impersonator when took the stage. I have see him several times & I guess time has taken a toll. Love his music !!

    Rowdy Friends!

by methornton on 10/25/10RBC Center - Raleigh

The show was awesome! All four acts were great. Loved hank Jr. guitar riffs, playing walk this way, and his closing song with Jamey and Colt. Jamey is a favorite, could listen to him sing all night long. Colt Ford and Josh were both great.
