2019 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

Barclays Center - Brooklyn

My wife and I really enjoyed the experience. It was our first time attending the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and I'm thinking it may not be our last. Stevie Nicks singing with Don Henley was definitely a highlight. All the bands, especially The Cure, were good though we were disappointed Janet Jackson did not perform. One thing that could be better is if there had been more things to do inside the Barclays Center while waiting for the show to start. Not sure exactly what that is but maybe some kind of traveling exhibit from the museum or just other rock & roll memorabilia or something. One thing I did not like about the Barclays Center is they do not take cash at the concession stands. That may be becoming the norm but it did catch us by surprise. Overall it was a great time and we look forward to hearing who will be in the class of 2020.

A little lackluster

Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Most of the performances were great except for the Zombies and Def Leppard and I'm a fan of both. The Cure did a great job even though I knew little about them; the same with Roxy Music. I was glad I had an opportunity to hear more from both of these bands. The entire event as a whole seemed very lackluster compared to others I have attended. The last jam was only one song and didn't feature many surprise artists. I'll be honest; I went for Stevie and overall, I'm glad I made the trip from Cleveland to go.

Better than last year!

Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Overall, very good. The highlight was Stevie Nicks and her special guests. I like the fact that bands played 4 or 5 songs instead of 3, like in past years.

one of the best induction ceremonies yet

Barclays Center - Brooklyn

The Barclays Center is one of the ugliest buildings in Brooklyn. Having said that the inside is actually a good place to see a show. This was my sixth induction ceremony and by far the best. The production value was great. My compliments to the sound techs, light techs, roadies and everyone backstage to keep all those moving parts in order. Well done people! The bands all sounded and looked wonderful and the show, although long, appeared to run pretty smoothly. Congrats to all involved!

Some Great, Some Good, Some Disappointment

Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Loved the presentations, all of them and the acceptance speeches. Stevie Nicks, The Zombies and Def Leopard were great! Extremely disappointed that Janet Jackson did not perform. She had no excuse and should have thought more of her fans.

Rollercoaster feelings

Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Nothing beats a great Rock & Roll show! But, asking where to park at the Barclays from either “their” staff (which were rude!) or Police and not getting directed to lot or garage...bad start. Trying to get a cocktail before show, and bar is closed...running to seats which were Extremely inclined, then go back to bar and they do not accept CASH!?! Those that were present, Stevie Nicks (don henley) Bryan Ferry & Roxy Music, the Zombies, the Cure and Def Leppard rocked the place! But... why couldn’t Janet Jackson sing a diddy, and Radio Head? Why couldn’t they have someone or band that influenced their life sing a song to show appreciation to the “hall” and to their fans. *this should Really be considered....having the inductee music played-one way or another. These artists play a huge part in people’s lives. They sounded and look awesome. I was/am grateful I got to see them. Looking forward to the next show....hopefully....everyone will play or have their music heard *because as FANS, this is what we look forward to and pay for+

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

Barclays Center - Brooklyn

First, I really wish the NYC venue would change the location. I hate going to The Barclays Center. The seats are on a terrible incline, the parking situation is horrific and the staff are always extremely rude. As far as the show, I was disappointed that no one sang Radiohead or Janet Janet songs. Stevie Nick’s was amazing! Trent Reznor is OMG gorgeous and The Cure was great! I loved seeing Brian May and Def Leppard...The Induction in Cleveland is always 10 times better than NY.

Average experience

Barclays Center - Brooklyn

The prices for a beer are ridiculous. 15 USD ???? Come on guys. I go to a lot of festivals and concerts, mostly in Europe, some outside. Usually I pay 3 EUR for a beer, which is like... 3.5 USD. There is no way the 15 USD can be justified based on costs. This is pure theft! It will seriously impact my decision to attend future events. These outrageous prices for drinks were somewhat of a bummer. Furthermore, I was surprised by the lack of merchandising of bands/artists material. I saw one small stand with some ugly Roxy Music t-shirts but nothing else. I'm a big fan of Roxy, but the t's were not up to Roxy's standard of class. The show itself was OK, but some speeches were too long, especially Stevie Nicks's and Janet Jackson's.

2019 Rock n' Roll Hall Of Fame Induction

Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Great show. Radiohead not performing was understandable for obvious reasons. Janet Jackson not performing was unacceptable. You get this incredible honor and you don't perform for the fans who paid a lot of money to see the induction. That part was extremely disappointing. Overall a great show.

Great show

Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Stevie nicks started off the show with a phenomenal set....Def Leopard ended the show on a high note. All the acts in between like The Cure, Radiohead Roxy music and the Zombies all were a pleasure to listen to that night . Janet Jackson was a disappointment as she declined to perform due to her issues with HBO
