RICK SPRINGFIELD IN CONCERT:
Rock superstar Rick Springfield has been wooing audiences with his polished voice and leading-man looks ever since his rise to fame in the early '70s. More than four decades later, he looks and sounds as good as ever, treating fans to an unforgettable evening of solo performance and storytelling on his Stripped Down tour. Taking time between each song to relay the touching and humorous stories that inspired them, Springfield has proven that his talents as an entertainer extend well beyond his musical abilities. Whether fans catch him solo or performing with a full band, they can count on plenty of showmanship and charisma as he works his way through nostalgic hits like "Jesse's Girl" and "Don't Talk to Strangers."
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Australian-born Rick Springfield began playing the guitar at age 13, cutting his teeth in several bands in England after his army officer father relocated the family there in 1958. After a stint fronting the British band Zoot in the late '60s, Springfield launched his solo career in 1971 with debut single "Speak to the Sky," a Top 10 hit in his native Australia. After releasing several moderately successful albums in the '70s, Springfield hit his stride in 1981 with Working Class Dog, a massive success propelled by the No. 1 hit "Jesse's Girl." 1982's My Success Hasn't Spoiled Yet fared similarly, landing at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and spawning several more hit singles. A veteran showman with four decades of touring under his belt, Springfield returns to the road once again for a string of highly anticipated tour dates.

The man is pure energy on the stage. He definitely shows his love for the fans match the love they have for him. Rick walks out to the crowd and shares the experience with them. Amazing show, I would definitely see the show again.
Rick Springfield and Reo Speedwagon put one hell of a concert in Reading,Pa. 3/20/24 I wouldn’t hesitate on seeing them again 2nd time seeing Reo and 1st time seeing Rick Springfield they both were great. 💝💝🥰
Rick is an amazing artist and performer. He’s still as talented and captivating now as he was the first time I seen him in 1984!
He was unbelievably good. His stamina is exemplary. I want too fond of the doors opening at 7:30 and he didn’t start until 9:30
Saw Richard Marx n Rick Springfield. Show was wonderful. Great music n stories. The guys made it like you were sitting in your living room. Met them after the show. Awesome. Second meet with Richard. Both of them amazing, warm men.
It was a shame that Rick was under the weather but am glad he carried on. Overall the show was okay. Though it was an acoustic show, I'm looking forward to a regular concert with a backup band.
Wonderful being with audience members who rocked out to Rick Springfield and Richard Marx in the 1980's. Lots of conversation between the performers who are friends. They contributed interesting fun facts throughout the show. Both musicians are in top form. They really put their heart and soul into their performances. It was a wonderful time. I highly recommend catching their show!
It was a variety show! Two very talented musicians, great music and lots of laughs! Richard says what’s on his mind! Great guys, humble and kind. Both Rick and Richard stopped to take pix with my wife and made her night! My wife loved them so much I’m taking her to see them again Sunday 1/28 in Huntington, NY
Just Rick Springfield and Richard Marx and their guitars. Stripped back, intimate, funny, and a glorious throwback to the 80s! Having never seen either of them live, Marx was surprisingly funny for having a repertoire of such gut wrenching songs. Would absolutely go again!
