The usual stellar performance - not to be missed

by Tom S. on 2/25/19Teragram Ballroom - Los Angeles

I have seen Richard Thompson many times over the last 25 years (solo and with band), and he's playing as consistently great, with fire in his playing, as much as ever. The consummate 'musician's musician' - virtuoso guitar playing, making it look so easy, and well-crafted tunes. Always accompanied by excellent musicians, when he plays in a band format. In a just world, he would be playing arenas. It is a privilege to see him in a small club, where there's a level of audience intimacy that gets you close to one of the best musicians i've ever seen, full stop.

A super concert with a difference

by P. Gregg on 2/24/19Teragram Ballroom - Los Angeles

As well as performing his “must do” songs, Richard went deeper into his fairport past and even a song from acoustic rareities. Many songs were from “13 Rivers” latest album and although I like the album, these live versions were much better than the album versions. This concert was his very last of this tour, so I think I received the summation of his refinement of these latest songs. Richard always makes the hardest things look easy. The Teragrem almost always has great sound, and this was also great sound. A+ experience.

    Don’t Miss

    by R. T. on 2/23/19Teragram Ballroom - Los Angeles

Veteran band plays as well as anyone in the business, and what’s more, there is a lot of strong new songs to go with ones that are 50 years old.

    Richard Thompson at the Moore

by Music Man Mike on 2/9/19Moore Theatre - Seattle

Saw a fantastic show of Richard Thompson's Electric Trio. It's so much fun when a performer connects with the audience, responding to the audience calls, telling jokes , just having a great night & enjoying his evening. Have been a big fan of of Richard Thompson all the way back to his Fairport Convention days. My only complaint is that he didn't play Little Blue Number!

    Snow bound !

by Bobby on 2/8/19Moore Theatre - Seattle

Could not make it to the show. Traffic and bad road conditions due to snow. Hope to catch RT on his next go round. I'm sure it was an excellent show.

    Richard Thompson - perfect

    by Sain't on 2/8/19Moore Theatre - Seattle

Perfect performance by the Richard Thompson Electric Trio 2/5/19 at the Moore. Everything perfect about this show from the extreme tightness of the band to RT's freakishly undiminished skills at 69 years of age to the sound engineering. We were in heaven.

    Richard Thompson Trio

by neverboring on 2/8/19Moore Theatre - Seattle

Richard Thompson is a rare singer, songwriter, guitarist that is showing no signs of slowing down at this stage of his career. In fact, quite the opposite. As a songwriter he's always plumbed the emotional depths of life, spoken through a gifted storyteller's voice. His music is infused with a grand array of the human experience, seen through every lens imaginable. Adding to that, his acoustic and electric guitar craftsmanship is utterly amazing. Even mind-blowing. No words can properly describe the skill and virtuosity behind the song structures, solos and the rhythm section that now is unequaled in contemporary music. This man is a music treasure. Gift yourself and loved ones the chance to see him at the top of his game. You won't regret it. David

    by crazydave65 on 2/8/19Moore Theatre - Seattle

performed at the cozy moore theater in seattle, this was an eclectic mix of old and new, rock and traditional. sing alongs encouraged for 1952 vincent and dimming of the day. an extra benefit is the aural and visual presence of superb drummer michael jerome. this really is a don't miss gig!
