You get submersed in the beat under the stars. It was also a great family event.
An excellent production, and I was particularly pleased with young people in the ensemble. This was a super package for the admission price. I would encourage everyone to support EMBRACE MUSIC FOUNDATION on the excellent job of grooming young musicians.
The seating arrangement was not clear, and the ushers were not familiar with the area. when I booked the seat, the map showed I was right behind the VIP seats. In the middle of the performance, two ticket holders arrived and we were removed to last two rows to the back. I would never have bought those seats especially when I purchase the tickets three weeks in advance. I was very upset and turn off at the outcome. Anyway, I prefer to go to the box office where I can actually see the layout for myself. This is an annually event for me. Secondly, the main artist Marcia Griffiths took forever to come on stage and when she arrived sang only two songs. This was a letdown, apart from that the rest of the concert was good. Thanks!
Mr. Willie Stewart was the best in coordinating such a wonderful event.
The concert site appeared comfortable and well laid out. Finding our allocated seats was difficult, and when we were seated there was a photographer standing in front of us, blocking our view of the stage. She refused to move telling us she was a professional doing her job. Fortunately we had some empty seats beside us after the show started, so we moved to these unoccupied seats so we could see. After the show started the sound was deafening and very uncomfortable for the audience. We tried and tolerated this for the duration. The acoustics needs to be improved and tested before the next show. The show was good. The young musicians were very talented and performed well. The show was too long though (7:00 to Midnight), with more than needed from the early performers, and not enough from the stars, Morgan and Marcia.
The bright tv behind the performers unabeled me to see the people on the stage. The audio was terrible. Bad mixing.
One of the best experience my family and I have had in a long time. It was pure, nice, clean entertainment with excellent performers. We'll definitely do it again.
Music is universal and I enjoyed the performance and talents that Willie was able to put together. The Rhythms truly lifted my spirit, touched my heat. It was so nice to see many of our friends in attendance.
This production was top notch! The organizer, Willie Stewart, is an accomplished musician, instructor, producer, director and most of all a humble, genuine person who receives joy from sharing his gifts with others, especially the young, budding musicians. He is a treasure and makes me feel proud to be a first generation Ja-merican! It was a wholesome evening that had you out of your seat, dancing and singing. Don't miss the next such event.
