About

In 2015, the local songwriting scene of Stillwater, OK brought together four like-minded individuals from completely different background who wanted nothing more than to play music. Read Southall became the talk of Oklahoma after the release of his acoustic album “Six String Sorrow” in 2015 that accumulated 8 million streams in just 3 years. In 2016, Read Southall decided that a group effort was the way to proceed with his fellow band mates and the Read Southall Band officially came to light. They released “Borrowed Time” in the spring of 2017 which featured singles like “Don’t Tell Me” and “Why”, which made it inside the Top 10 on several streaming charts. The Read Southall Band began to tour full time in 2018, leading to the release of “Live at Tower Theatre” in December. 2019 is set to be a huge year for the Oklahoma rock ’n' roll quartet as they tour all over the USA with several acts like Whiskey Myers and Koe Wetzel.

One of the best concerts I've been to! All 3 bands were awesome and played wonderfully. Great show was put on by all of them!

    Bad Mix

by Beta on 3/26/24The Bluestone - Columbus

First the mix was off on the audio, you could not hear the vocals at all. Second the fans for Southall were rude, drunk, and just in general made the entire show not worth viewing. Who knows, maybe the music was good but we certainly could only hear the instruments.

    Amazing in person

by Nick on 10/26/23House of Blues Cleveland - Cleveland

One of my favorite bands by far. And one of the few I would say are significantly better in person than not. I would see them again in a heartbeat

Southall always puts on an amazing show. This was the 7th time I have seen them. Looking for the next one close by. Venue is also great, will say the security staff was one their "A"game that night.

by Dora on 10/26/23House of Blues Cleveland - Cleveland

I love Southall! They’re probably my favorite band! I saw them at the same spot in 2022, and it was even better this time! The band is amazing and I wish I could have gotten to meet them! Their opener was amazing too! Great music and I cannot wait to see them again!

Seen them as the opening band for Whiskey Myers and as soon as my husband and I left the venue we listened to Read Southall Band the whole 2 hour drive home and talked about how we have to see them in concert again!! Amazing Band! Amazing performance! Excited for the day when they are the headliner! It’s coming!
