About

The Presidents Cup is a biennial international men’s golf tournament held by the PGA Tour since 1994. The event features a series of matches across four days between a team of professional American golfers and a team of International players and an international contingency of players from across the globe, excluding Europe. The proceedings also feature an Honorary Chairperson, including eight former U.S. presidents and heads of state from host countries such as Australia, South Korea and South Africa. The tournament also notably awards no prize money, with proceeds instead being donated to player-nominated charities. The Presidents Cup changes location for each tournament. The 2024 Presidents Cup will celebrate the series’ 15th iteration as well as its 30th anniversary, and will be held for the second time at Royal Montreal Golf Club in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

    President’s Cup - Charlotte

by Lisa P on 10/10/22Quail Hollow Club - Charlotte

We inquired about services for handicapped people and were given false info. It was impossible to move around and personnel were not informed on how to assist those in need.

    Awesome

by JB on 10/3/22Quail Hollow Club - Charlotte

On Sunday, we got in the horseshoe, it was awesome to watch the players tee off! Then we sat on the 15th green and witnessed Jordan winning his match & getting the first USA point on Sunday. Awesome Awesome! Loved II all!

Pricey, should be some better amenities, but good golf

by Nick on 10/3/22Quail Hollow Club - Charlotte

Missed having the preprinted forms with course layout and pairings. Those were very handy. To constantly have to be pulling up the phone, was annoying. Food, drinks, and merchandise were very pricey, but given the long lines, I guess there's no stopping that. At least having more stands to spread out the crowd would be helpful. People working there were all quite nice and the crowd was pleasant and the golf was entertaining. I would suggest more large-screen TV's showing the action placed around the course. And, instead of "trivia" and other insignificant things shown on the side of the live action TV, there should be more consistent updates on current scores and pairings. Thursday and Friday sessions seemed a bit extra pricey, given that there was not as much golf on those days.

Not organized or managed very well

by GJM on 10/2/22Quail Hollow Club - Charlotte

Great watching the golfers, but maps were not accurate, and the event looked like it was managed to maximize profit, and profit is ok, but not at the expense of attendees. Ticketmaster always provides minimal value for the cost.

    Disappointing

by Curt R on 10/1/22Quail Hollow Club - Charlotte

Being a part of a significant event and seeing the great players and leadership Teams assembled was fun as it was for the two previous PC’s I have attended. I thought the event was way, way over sold. Seeing on the ground level Was virtually impossible. Knowing this from previous experiences, we purchased the “Captain Club” tickets hoping we’d have more of an unobstructed view of the action. Not to be, the Captain’s Club was way oversold as well. We all Walked away exceedingly disappointed withe the cost and the entire experience. Having been to a few Master’s events, where none of these problems presented themselves, I felt the PGA’s greed was the primary motivation. Never again…..

    As an “In Person” Spectator

    by W. P. on 10/1/22

The event itself was great!! However, the format of this event is not great for trying to view as an “in person” spectator, especially Thursday and Friday. 40,000 people trying to follow 5 groups around the course. Glad to go to it once, but not sure about future events of this style. Not enough TV screens around the course. It would have been better to watch it at home.

Too many people, too few matches

by Bill C on 10/1/22Quail Hollow Club - Charlotte

This is a great event to attend to be able to say that you were there, but seeing much golf is difficult. The crowds were trying follow 5 matches on Thursday with an alternating shot format. I set-up an hour early on hole 1 to where the drives would be hit. That was great, but after that it was tough to find a spot to watch that wasn't 6 people deep on the side of the fairway.

    First Presidents Cup Live

by Driver on 10/1/22Quail Hollow Club - Charlotte

Notifications helpful prior to event. Downloading the parking, entry, and Club package was very useful and made entry quicker. Was able to sit in the horseshoe on #1 tee.....what a plus! Club package was a blessing when the legs gave out, and was able to sit inside, have a beverage, and watch on some wide-screen tv's. Was there Saturday and Sunday. What a great time! Will use Ticketmaster again!

Overall good with a few complaints

by Packer fan on 10/1/22Quail Hollow Club - Charlotte

The presidents cup was super fun to be a part of, you can tell there’s a lot of thought and planning that goes into it! I would say a few more water bottle dispensers would have been great as we only found 2. The other big disappointment was that we purchased captions club passes which included $25 vouchers for the pro shop which we never received. We asked about it at the pro shop and they said there was miscommunication and they never got handed out to people. So that was $75 we could’ve used on the items we purchased.

    Presidents Cup

by DJ on 9/30/22Quail Hollow Club - Charlotte

Beginning with the bus ride over and being parked directly in front of the front gate was a good start. It was just as easy and quick getting back to the parked car. Very Efficient. The event, golf, concessions were well done. It was never a long line. My two issues were the bathroom locations need to be increased and the merchandise tent was a mob scene. I would have spent more but I really just wanted to get out of there. Overall rating a 8,5 out of 10.
