Great game at a great price. The whole family enjoyed themselves. We will be doing this again. Go Winterhawks!
Winter Hawks played a great game. Tied it in last 30 seconds of regulation and won in shootout! Fantastic entertainment, kids hustled on every play.
Had a great time taking my family to the game. Was a bit surprised that a Saturday game vs another really good team was not at least close to a sellout. Prices have gotten a bit high since I was a former season ticket holder and the service charges on tickets have gotten out of control. Need to get back to 2 or 3 dollar service charges...
Everything was cool after we got in. Missed the first few minutes because they weren't letting folks in for some reason. Totally backed up. Other than that, it was great. Staff was cool and helpful.
I've been coming to Winterhawks games for at least 10 years. I've loved watching past Winterhawks like Johansen, The Jones brothers, Bjorkstrand, Neiderieter, Glass, Leipsig, Baertschi, Hill, Dumba, and Pouliot play in the NHL. It's great to see their progression as players over the years. These kids can play, and it's the future of the NHL. I only gave 4 stars because I miss having games in the MODA center, and sitting behind the goal. The Memorial Coliseum does not compare. I wish they would go back to playing some games at the MODA center again.
We were there 30 min early and the lines to get in were insane!! Never seen that before. We ended up missing first half of 1st periodđ these games to expensive to miss. They were saying doors weren't open on time and that is why such a back up. Really not impressed.
We have lived in the area many years but had never gone until grandson came from Iowa who has gotten into hockey-it was the first hockey game for my granddaughter's husband and their 5 month old son-others had gone to games while in Alaska with family. Overall a great experience with more memories made.
I love the Winterhawks and love going to the games and will do so forever. However, I miss when hockey was at the Moda Center. Veteran's is a smaller venue and there isn't a bad seat In the place. Easy to get to easy to get into games always great. Issues: Food: options are boring and lack luster. Vendors are few and not many options. Prices are same as moda and not nearly the quality. Drinks: your options for tap are the same 3 types and the same 2 vendors through out. Mixed drinks are like 2 spots on opposite ends of venue. They have a self serve option which is kind of cool, except, it is all can beer, and ew. Merch: one small roped off section, few options (better options online) Overall, the feeling is as if you don't really love the winterhawks and not real interested in hyping them up. When we were at Moda the vibe, the energy the layout all of it felt like a big game and you could make a night out of it. Veterans feels second rate and winterhawks are better than that.
We love that the Winterhawks participate in Portland Parades throughout the year and love to give them back the attention. From the ease, and speed, of entering the Coliseum, to fabulous drink choices and restroom access, Portland Winterhawks has got it all. Staff all around were helpful and stimulated excitement! Best part was the announcer and music volume is no longer deafening, thank you!
I took my family to see the Winterhawks game recently. Although the hawks lost, it was still fun and we really enjoyed the game.
Our family has been taking in a Winterhawks game or 2 every holiday season when my son and daughter are here. This year we took in the game this past Sunday. Winterhawks fared poorly, but we still enjoy this entertainment option and will probably continue the tradition next year. Two issues that lessened our enjoyment were: The security to get in is too strict. I was required to forfeit a two inch key chain flat head screwdriver to gain entry. Seriously? it is shorter and less of a sharp object than any one of my house keys. The security person had no discretion to allow this 69 year old man with a cane and his family enter the venue over this item on my key chain. Second is probably a more common issue related to the cost of concessions. A single glass of beer for each of the five of us was as much as two of our tickets to get in. Nice venue, very friendly service people (excluding the door security), and a unique event well suited to Winter entertainment.
Spectacle sur la glace et dans les tribunes, super ambiance, match intense. Un excellent moment !
This was the first Portland Winterhawks game that I attended, and it was great!
Looking forward to more flash sale offers this year to go to more games cuz $33 for upper level plus cost of concessions ain't worth the value
Itâs sad that parking was more expensive than my seat price. By the end of the night our family of 4 put out close to $300. Tickets, parking, food and drink. Game was fun but we will not be back.
I've been going to Winterhawks games for over 10 years, ever since the 2019-20 season ended due to Covid-19 this franchise has been on a downfall. The only good thing I could say about this franchise since then is the new logo, every other change was a mistake. The environment has gone from a hockey game to a golf tournament, it's dead silent unless either a goal is scored or the Winterhawks goalie makes a good save. The music choices they play while the game is out of play couldn't be more boring, just more mainstream music you hear every day on the radio, gives the franchise little character, the only reason why they have a small amount of character is because they play Bohemian Rhapsody in the dark and some of the crowd sings along. Another thing was the goal horn change, the choreography between the horn and T.N.T. sounds generic and basic with the train horn while with the horn and siren the change between the horn and T.N.T. was spot on. The random sounds they play such as "Terrific"is being extra and everyone could care less. The food isn't bad, for a building that usually only plays hockey, it's alright. Moda obviously has better food and if the Winterhawks started playing there again I know it would be louder and the Moda Center can manage to create a better environment. I know it isn't the Winterhawks organization's fault and it's the Blazers fault for not wanting them in Moda. The actual game itself is entertaining, not as entertaining as it could be though. The Teddy Bear toss was easily the best night of the year almost selling out, and winning in a shootout, and even then the arena was dead silent. Here's a list of things the Winterhawks could do over the offseason to get their franchise into one of the best franchises. -Change the goal horn back to the horn and siren -Play more Rock/Metal for a more active crowd -Remove random sounds during play -Try to bring back games into the Moda Center
Venue was pretty nice considering the age. Definitely different than your usual arena. Itâs cool they have cheerleaders. What was so distracting and annoying is how they play random things in the middle of gameplay and during the whistle, the music has no pump up value to the fans or the home team. Someone needs to really structure that part of the game up.
It was a great highlight to watch the hockey game. The music and entertainment throughout the event was #onpoint! The Kamaâaina pork sandwich with the slaw! Must try!! The slawwwwwwww was everything! We will be back!
This was our first game! It was super fun and we want to go again! I was disappointed and a little upset because $10 for a drink and they ran out of iceâŚI got like 3 pieces and coke doesnât taste good unless itâs cold.
Such an amazing experience each time my friends and I have gone! Love the energy and the boys out there working hard to give us a show! Hitting the play-offs and will, of course, be back next season! GO HAWKS!
