About
Porter are a four-piece rock group from Guadalajara, Mexico. Formed in 2004, Porter released their debut EP Donde los ponys pastan and first full-length Atemahawke with former lead vocalist Juan Son before taking a hiatus in 2008. Porter reformed in 2013 and have since released three more albums: Moctezuma (2014), Las Batallas (2019) and La Historia Sin Fin (2022). The lineup currently consists of lead vocalist David Velasco, guitarist Fernando de la Huerta, bassist Diego Rangel and guitarist and pianist Victor Valverde. Porter takes an experimental approach to rock music, mixing the quartet’s Latin influences with electronic, dream pop and alternative. Over the years, the band has released singles such as 2008’s “Host of a Ghost,” 2015’s “Huitzil,” 2016’s “La China” and 2018’s “Pájaros.”
