    Pippin

by JMS on 6/28/23North Theatre at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts - Skokie

This is a wonderful venue to see live theater and I have been in the audience many times over the years. The voices of the leads were very good and the use of the limited space for the play was very well done. However, the score was merely adequate, the acting competant(at best), the musicians were very professional(they should have been intoduced to the audience at the end of the perfomance) and the book is very confusing. I had never seen this show and I'm glad I did so I may now avoid a repeat performance.

    Great talent, fun performance

by Susan on 6/24/23North Theatre at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts - Skokie

We loved the energy of the show, but the Charlemagne character would be better portrayed as a strong and mighty man. We also thought the ending needed to be stronger. We love the play and have seen many versions of it, but did not feel that this one left you with the true meaning it is intended to give.

Really enjoyed this performance of Pippen. The cast & crew were great! The theatre is very intimate. Just wish the seats were more comfortable.

    Pippin exceeded our expectations!

by KSLouisville on 8/4/18The Oncenter Bevard Studio - Syracuse

Thanks to the cast and crew of this exciting, fast paced summer show. We vacation in upstate New York and enjoy going to regional theater as a special treat. It was our first time at the Bevard Studio and we were not disappointed! We were glad we arrived early enough to get in line for better general admission seats, although I don’t think there was a bad seat in the house. We did see couples who did not get seats together. Congratulations to the cast and crew - they made us laugh and cry!

    Great show!

by SMarieK on 7/11/18Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

We had never been to the smaller theater. Great seats in center, but I didn't see any seats that would be bad. The students were wonderful! Great singing, dancing, and acting - especially for such young performers.

A good effort by young cast. However the overall production is on the level with that of a theme park/criuse ship show. If you’re satisfied with that or want to support young adults working on their theatre skills then by all means go. It definitely seemed well attended by cast family members. But, if you’re seeking a professional style Broadway/Off Broadway level of a production then this isn’t it.
