About

Growing out of the San Diego, California punk scene, Pierce the Veil was founded by brothers Mike and Vic Fuentes in 2007 after the demise of their previous band and furthered praise for their emo post-hardcore sound. After signing with Fearless Records in 2011, their third album Collide with the Sky was released in July 2012, peaking at No. 12 on the U.S. Billboard 200, as well as No. 1 on the U.S Alternative and Rock charts. They joined the Vans Warped Tour again in 2012, toured North America with A Day to Remember and All Time Low, and played for ticket buyers with Bring Me The Horizon in Europe and the U.K. in 2013. Following the break-up of the group Before Today, the brothers Fuentes continued writing songs and recorded a new full-length album in Seattle under their new moniker. This debut album A Flair for the Dramatic was released in June 2007 on Equal Vision Records. They recruited lead guitarist Tony Perry and bassist Jaime Preciado and played the Vans Warped Tour in 2008, as well as concerts with Breathe Carolina and Thursday. Their sophomore studio album Selfish Machines came out in June 2010 and reached No. 1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart.

  • PTV was amazing as always!

by Casewa on 3/26/13Upstate Concert Hall - Clifton ParkRating: 5 out of 5

This was my second time seeing PTV at this venue and I enjoyed it even more. PTV always makes their fans feel special during their performance and they're so talented. This venue has a fairly small stage in the corner so all the fans get packed in pretty tight, but if you don't mind being tightly packed and have some muscle you can always push your way to the front.

I'm a parent and I had a good time. There was a place for you to go sit and not have to be in the crown if you chose not to.

  • Pierce, Memphis May Fire, & Letlive Nailed It!

by blindaura on 3/26/13Chameleon Club - LancasterRating: 5 out of 5

This was a great line up! Not a big fan of Issues, but they were alright. I could watch Letlive for days! Definitely one of my favorite live bands! Memphis May Fire was flawless and sound so good live. Last but not least was Pierce The Veil who was really good as well, when you could hear them beyond all the younger girls screaming. All the bands played all the best songs too! I would definitely see this show again!

I think my favorite thing about the entire experience was that Pierce The Veil sounded EXACTLY the same live as they do on a CD. You won't be disappointed. They were the first concert I ever attended and I wouldn't have it any other way!

While not necessarily a PTV fan, I can say I've enjoyed the shows I've attended. Pierce the Veil performs well every time and always hits right on.

  • Best Show Of My Life

by Livvieeee on 12/12/12Polladium - WorcesterRating: 5 out of 5

There is no argument in saying that this was the best show of my life. Hands Like Houses was first, and I missed part of their set, but the rest was great. Tonight Alive came out second, which was pretty wonderful too. Sleeping With Sirens was third, and I knew all the words to their songs, so I screamed right along, and so did the rest of the crowd. They were all great opening sets for Pierce The Veil. PTV played songs from Collide With The Sky, and they also played some old favorites. The stage set up was to die for. When the light of the woman lit up above the house on the stage, and the intro started playing, the crowd absolutely went wild. They pulled away the shades and the band was behind it and everyone screamed even louder. They played amazing music, and when they played Bulls In The Bronx, Vic asked the crowd how many of us had been truly saved by music and everyone shouted. Up until when they played Hold On Till May, everyone was gloriously happy. When Vic dedicated it to Mitch Lucker, the crowd absolutely died. He saluted him, and looked at the sky, and then started playing. I cried, as did many other people who had attended the concert. Everyone was chanting "Mitch, Mitch, Mitch.." it was perfect. The finale was the greatest part, when the band went offstage and hadn't played King For A Day yet, so everyone started chanting "KING FOR A DAY, KING FOR A DAY..." And Vic came back out and said, "You really thought we weren't going to play King For A Day? Come On!" And then Tony started playing his guitar and everyone screamed. They played it and the stage lights went crazy and the confetti cannons bursted confetti everywhere. I can honestly say that it was the best night of my life.

  • Pierce The Veil was Awesome!!

by Anonymous on 11/26/12The Wiltern - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was incredible. My daughter had an amazing time. She sang every single song and rocked out to their music. The lighting show was awesome and Vic was very entertaining and very humble. Just an amazing band and it was well worth the ride from Goleta, CA to the Wiltern the day before Thanksgiving. Although, we were a bit disappointed that Sleeping With Sirens could not perform, we were pleasantly surprised with the band Chiodos. They were a great warm-up band for Pierce The Veil, and got the crowd rocking.

  • Craig Owens from Chiodos was amazing!

it was certainly unforgettable! Chiodos stole the show from Pierce the Veil.

  • Collide With the Sky Tour

by Mailei on 11/21/12Culture Room - Fort LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

I really liked the variety in songs Pierce the Veil chose and going acoustic for one was really special. Tonight Alive and Hands Like Houses brought so much energy to the crowd but sadly Sleeping with Sirens was disappointing. They chose the same songs from Warped Tour and didn't really have a huge amount of energy (except for Jaime). I think although Orlando is the hometown of SWS, they could expand on some acoustic performances rather than choosing the same city for every single concert. Other than that the tour was really great, with the exception of the venue chosen which I'm sure many more people would have preferred Revolution Live.

I didn't even mind standing the whole time, and even if you needed a break there were plenty of seats in the back. The sound was amazing, the bands were amazing. the concert was awesome, just awesome.

  • Pierce the Veil rocked despite crappy crowd!

by KDobie on 11/12/12The Guvernment - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Love pierce the veil, sleeping with sirens and tonight alive they all played great and I love the music but the crowd was horrible. So much shoving to get to the front and people packing in places where theres no room just causing the wave effect and not being able to enjoy the music without massive surges of people so I had to stay far back.

  • Pierce the Veil & Sleeping with Sirens best night!

by xIKSxNEVERENDER on 11/11/12House of Blues Chicago - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

The show had a good line up of bands and the performance of pierce the veil and sleeping with sirens was amazing. I wish they would come to Cleveland more often! Would go again if I could. I had the best night of my week best of this show.
