Peter Frampton on Tour
With the Peter Frampton Finale: The Farewell Tour, an iconic figure in rock takes the stage for one last round in 2019. Commencing June 18 in Tulsa and ending October 12 in San Francisco, the tour follows the singer and guitarist's announcement of his retirement due to his battle with inclusion body myositis (IBM), a progressive muscle disorder.
It makes for a poignant occasion for any fan whose life has been touched by Frampton's songs in the five decades since the singer and guitarist first earned renown as the teenage frontman for Humble Pie and became one of the biggest sensations of the 1970s.
The evening will be a celebration first and foremost. The music legend always has been warm and engaging in signature songs like "Baby, I Love Your Way" and "Do You Feel Like We Do," and he wouldn't have it any other way. For the new tour, Frampton performs alongside his longtime bandmates Rob Arthur (keys, guitar, vocals), Steve Mackey (bass), Adam Lester (guitar), and Dan Wojciechowski (drums).
Peter Frampton Background
From co-founding one of rock's first supergroups while still a teenager to releasing the most famous live album of all time, Peter Frampton has had many milestones in a career that began in the London borough of Bromley in the early ‘60s. Inspired by heroes like Buddy Holly and Eddie Cochran, the young guitarist began his musical pursuits as an adolescent alongside David Bowie, an older classmate who became his lifelong friend.
By the time he was 16, Frampton was having his first hits with The Herd. When only 18, he co-founded Humble Pie with Steve Marriott of Small Faces and Spooky Tooth's Greg Ridley. The group's mix of hard rock and progressive styles made them a pioneer of heavy metal.
After going solo in 1971, Frampton toured tirelessly in the U.S. His efforts paid off in 1976, when Frampton Comes Alive! became a phenomenon. Topping the Billboard charts for 10 weeks, it sold eight million copies and spawned three smashes in "Baby, I Love Your Way," "Show Me the Way," and "Do You Feel Like We Do."
Later career highlights included playing guitar on David Bowie's Glass Spider tour, winning a Grammy in 2007 for Best Pop Instrumental Album, and touring with a who's who of other six-string heroes as Frampton's Guitar Circus in 2013. Released in 2016, Acoustic Classics featured new performances of many of his best-known songs, including a few favorites from Frampton Comes Alive!

Great concert. Despite his illness, he was upbeat and still sounded great; played excellent guitar. Still has it!
As Peter said, his legs are just about shot however, he still can sing and rip the guitar. Sat in row K right a bit. It was perfect. Frampton was turned to us most of the night and the video screen was directly to our side. Again, perfect to see the solo's and marvel at a true Professional musician. I graduated HS in 1976 so this was a very nostalgic night for me. For him to play 2.5 hours with no break was unbelievable. Perhaps the best concert I've been too, if not top 5. I would say, if you've never been to see him, catch him on this tour. Once his hands go, it will be a very sad day!
This venue was a great venue. Peter Frampton, who I hadn’t seen in concert since Soldier Field in 1977, was even better than I remembered. I loved how he showed pictures from his past on the screen. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute.
Great concert. Great venue. Excellent acoustics. Peter Frampton may not have the “big hair”anymore, and he may not be able to walk well anymore, but he can still rock the house!!! Excellent performance and high energy. He hasn’t aged a bit!!! Had a great time!!!
I cant say enough about this performance. We have seen Peter Frampton six times. Each show gets better. He plays with such passion. His love for music and his fans ❤️ is AMAZING. He played for three hours. I would not have missed this show for anything. I highly recommend purchasing tickets to his show where and when you can. He gave 1000%. HALL OF FAMER FOR SURE. Love ❤️ Peter.
I was expecting to hear some nice nostalgic songs. But I was blown away. His voice was all still there. The guitar was incredible. He was very pleasant and social with the audience. Very good set list. An exceptional performance!
Great concert—so glad his health issues haven’t stopped his great guitar work!
Peter and his whole crew were outstanding Wishing him his continued strength to fight the battle while giving us such a great performance
Non stop performance by Frampton , we really enjoyed it, took us back to the 70's.
I have seen Peter 3 times and I am in awe that his voice has not changed, His guitar playing is phenomenal and he truly appreciates his fans. It was a magical show taking us back to Humble Pie Days, Live Days and current music. Peter, fight this thing, you are a brilliant talent and a nice man. We will see you again!!
Peter Frampton was phenomenal, talented as ever and very interactive from beginning to end. I hope we (audience) didn't disappoint him as he seemed genuinely grateful to be performing again. (I wish he would've given away more albums lol!)
Peter Frampton played at casino Windsor last week. The show was amazing! His band is great and played for more than 2 1/2 hours. Very high energy and very positive.
Peter Frampton was so good ,his voice has not changed . His guitar playing was as good as ever
Easy quick parking, staff was friendly and helpful, venue was incredible. My experience was phenomenal, best of all Peter rocked the house. I'm looking for his next venue to attend another concert. Hall of Famer for sure!!
We enjoyed it ! Peter and his band were outstanding! Peter’s guitar skills were excellent! We would definitely see him again.Great show !!!
Was a GREAT show!! He played for 2.5 hrs. His voice was good, playing was fantastic, and band very talented.
Being a fan from childhood and never having the opportunity to see Peter in person, this concert lived up to any expectations I may have had. The skill and ability that I witnessed was beyond amazing! Peter's interaction with the people gave it more of a feeling of small town party in the seventies . I would definitely love the opportunity to see him again.
A fantastic evening! Frampton didn’t miss a beat. Over two hours of five star entertainment (even played a few Humble Pie songs!!!). Highly recommended that anyone who has the opportunity to see this tour jump on it!
I was lucky enough to be at what was supposed his goodbye show ….. a tear jerker I was so happy to see Peter back on stage (sitting) , his voice is great, the supporting band amazing for 3 full hours of music including a few from Humble Pie during the encore. Although a few songs were stretched to show off the musicality of the band and went a little too long. Well worth seeing!
What an amazing show even though he can’t stand you can tell he still loves performing. It was an amazing show great job Peter!
