Panic! At the Disco In Concert

One of pop's most exciting live acts, Panic! At the Disco has long commanded stages around the world with their vibrant, passionate performances. The band first stepped onto a stage in 2005 after recording their debut album, ‘A Fever You Can't Sweat Out.' They proved to be even more dynamic on stage than in the studio, and began a long round of touring by 2006, including their Nothing Rhymes with Circus tour, which involved an elaborate setup of dance numbers and skits. As each release has become more ambitious, so have their live shows. Frontman Brendon Urie remains a magnetic leader, playing both the untouchable rock star and the showstopping theatrical performer. You may even be lucky enough to see him effortlessly pull off Queen's mega-classic "Bohemian Rhapsody," which he performed during the Death of a Bachelor tour and Pray for the Wicked tour.

Panic! At the Disco Background

Panic! At the Disco started innocently enough among four teenagers from the Las Vegas suburbs. Vocalist and guitarist Brendon Urie, guitarist Ryan Ross, drummer Spencer Smith, and bassist Brent Wilson came together in 2004 and began using Smith's grandmother's living room as a space to practice playing blink-182 songs. They decided to call themselves Panic! At the Disco, a line plucked from a song called "Panic" by California rock band Name Taken. Soon they were writing their own pop-punk tunes and sending demos to Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz. Though most of the band was still in high school and they had yet to perform a live show, Wentz signed them immediately to his new Fueled by Ramen imprint label Decaydance Records. Their debut album, ‘A Fever You Can't Sweat Out,' was unleashed to the world in September 2005. First single "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" landed on the Billboard Hot 100, and by 2006 they were already headlining tours. In 2008, they returned with the more psychedelic ‘Pretty. Odd.' The following year, both Ross and Jon Walker (who'd replaced Wilson on bass in 2006) departed the group, but Urie and Smith stayed on as a duo and released 2011's ‘Vices & Virtues.' Going forward, Panic! continued to heavily experiment with their sound. Hip-hop and dance styles were woven into 2013's ‘Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!' which would be the last record to feature Smith on drums. From that point on, Urie would remain the only original member. He continues to push boundaries as the steady frontman of Panic!, letting the band's sound further evolve with 2016's ‘Death of a Bachelor' and 2018's ‘Pray for the Wicked.

Thankful to Go After Our Date in Wisconsin Got Cancelled

by Tracy on 11/2/22United Center - Chicago

Overall, I loved it. But... First of all, I was so disappointed that our show in Milwaukee got cancelled! We had second row seats on the side right along the extended walk way of the stage that goes around the pit. They would have been the best seats we had ever had at a concert. The next best seats we could get at the United Center rescheduled show were way back on the side in the second level, and they were more money! Some suggestions for improvement would be to make better, more creative use of the extended stage walk way, incorporate more audience interaction, interact more and show a bond with the band members, walk out into the audience and up into the seats, talk more to the audience, especially little personal snippets about the songs etc., just open up more! Finally, I was really disappointed that Into the Unknown was removed from the setlist. I have such fond memories of hearing that song at the end of Frozen 2 and realizing that is was P!ATD as well as singing it over the years with my two daughters that I brought to the concert. But other than that, I loved it and had a great time!

    4th time seeing them!

by Panic! is still amazing on 11/1/22United Center - Chicago

This is my 4th time seeing Brendon Urie live in the span of about 8 years and he does NOT disappoint. His voice is spectacular and he takes risks and hits all the high notes and it's simply fascinating. He's also very entertaining and just a big ball of energy. Stage lighting was also great.

    Great show as always!

by JP on 11/1/22United Center - Chicago

The show was great and to be honest it was even better than the first time I saw them back in 2019. The only thing that was subpar was the seats. I was so far back I had trouble seeing the stage. No trouble hearing though.

    Absolutely amazing

by Js on 11/1/22United Center - Chicago

Panic!(not to mention JWR and Betty who) were completely phenomenal!! Great show all around, even the security stepped in when some people were seat hopping on the floor to get closer. The only cons were that Brendon seemed a little impersonal and said the same thing as previous concerts (at the same time I understand that..if that makes sense lol) also the security when you first came in was a little rude( also understandable when you have to deal with that many people but with that being said, I was the first person to get to the security checkpoint at those doors sooo…) And dude concessions prices are freaking ridiculous $6 for mf bottled water(the cheapest drink!) and I can’t even have a cap so it doesn’t spill 🙄

The concert was super! I brought my granddaughter and we both enjoyed it very much. He puts on a great performance for his fans and showed his love for us when we are singing his words to his songs. He just showed how proud he was listening to us.

    Best arena show ever!

by Lou on 11/1/22United Center - Chicago

Seriously the best arena show I've ever been to! PAD gave an amazing show, but I, along with most likely everyone else, thought they could have played longer 😆.

    Spectacular show!

by Kathy on 11/1/22United Center - Chicago

The show was fantastic! It’s the 5th time I’ve seen him before so it was just as wonderful. I got some attitude from the employees when I’d asked a question so I felt a little off from that, but Panic! At The Disco made it all better with a spectacular show!

Long drive for what felt like a short show

by Mamashucks on 11/1/22United Center - Chicago

This was a make up performance for a previously canceled concert. I assumed Brendan and the Band might do a few extra songs. Not the case. The show had an odd flow. Old stuff. New stuff. Old stuff. Violins and cello played short melodies in between songs. Not sure i liked that. Saw him in 2019 at Fiserv. That concery felt like i got my moneys worth.

    Wonderful Experience

by J Matt on 11/1/22United Center - Chicago

The original date was canceled due to COVID in the band. Ticketmaster was wonderful at notifying me of the cancelation and sharing the new date. I needed to take no extra steps to attend on the new date - the original tickets were used with ease. The venue was amazing, clean safe. The Parking lot was easy to access and affordable. The staff and food services were great - so many options. The Show was SOOOOO great.

    Don’t Panic!

by Kate on 11/1/22United Center - Chicago

This show was phenomenal. As someone who wasn’t the biggest fan of the new album, seeing the new songs performed live reinvigorated my interest and now I can’t stop listening. Brendon Urie’s stage presence rivals the greats - and the vocals are nothing short of spectacular. RUN to see this group next time they are around.
