Panic! At the Disco In Concert

One of pop's most exciting live acts, Panic! At the Disco has long commanded stages around the world with their vibrant, passionate performances. The band first stepped onto a stage in 2005 after recording their debut album, ‘A Fever You Can't Sweat Out.' They proved to be even more dynamic on stage than in the studio, and began a long round of touring by 2006, including their Nothing Rhymes with Circus tour, which involved an elaborate setup of dance numbers and skits. As each release has become more ambitious, so have their live shows. Frontman Brendon Urie remains a magnetic leader, playing both the untouchable rock star and the showstopping theatrical performer. You may even be lucky enough to see him effortlessly pull off Queen's mega-classic "Bohemian Rhapsody," which he performed during the Death of a Bachelor tour and Pray for the Wicked tour.

Panic! At the Disco Background

Panic! At the Disco started innocently enough among four teenagers from the Las Vegas suburbs. Vocalist and guitarist Brendon Urie, guitarist Ryan Ross, drummer Spencer Smith, and bassist Brent Wilson came together in 2004 and began using Smith's grandmother's living room as a space to practice playing blink-182 songs. They decided to call themselves Panic! At the Disco, a line plucked from a song called "Panic" by California rock band Name Taken. Soon they were writing their own pop-punk tunes and sending demos to Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz. Though most of the band was still in high school and they had yet to perform a live show, Wentz signed them immediately to his new Fueled by Ramen imprint label Decaydance Records. Their debut album, ‘A Fever You Can't Sweat Out,' was unleashed to the world in September 2005. First single "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" landed on the Billboard Hot 100, and by 2006 they were already headlining tours. In 2008, they returned with the more psychedelic ‘Pretty. Odd.' The following year, both Ross and Jon Walker (who'd replaced Wilson on bass in 2006) departed the group, but Urie and Smith stayed on as a duo and released 2011's ‘Vices & Virtues.' Going forward, Panic! continued to heavily experiment with their sound. Hip-hop and dance styles were woven into 2013's ‘Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!' which would be the last record to feature Smith on drums. From that point on, Urie would remain the only original member. He continues to push boundaries as the steady frontman of Panic!, letting the band's sound further evolve with 2016's ‘Death of a Bachelor' and 2018's ‘Pray for the Wicked.

This concert was so good! Amazing voice to start with and such fun songs but he sings so incredibly well live. Just chills all over all the time! It’s so fun! Then you add all the fun staging and lighting and fire and fireworks and it’s insane! I’m so glad I went! It was an amazing experience! So fun!

    Never disappoints!

    by K. B. on 2/11/23

I’ve seen Panic! 3 times in concert and let me tell you, Brendon and the team always pull off one hell of a show. I’ve seen them twice on the PFTW tour and then recently on the VLV tour and this latest show was my favorite! Brendon sounded AMAZING and has some of the greatest vocals of this generation. This man never lost his touch. Would 100% see them again for the fourth time. Sad that he’s quitting, but I am so happy for him! I’ll be here with my wallet, ready for that reunion tour!

I saw them in October of this year in AZ. They did not disappoint. By far, this was the best concert I have been to. It was truly unforgettable. Brendon's voice is definitely one of the best male voices of this generation. I loved how they emphasized other members of the band besides only showing the lead singer. I would go see them again in a heartbeat. They put on a great show.

    Only the BEST from Panic!

    by once_in_a_lifetime on 11/16/22United Center - Chicago

Brendon is an incredible performer with ALL the talent. Like seriously, save some for us common folks. The Chicago show was one of the most amazing experiences, truly a dream. The stage, the crowd, the voice, the style! Unmatched imo. Since it was the last night of the tour, you could tell that Brendon gave us everything he had left to give - although it probably feels like that at every Panic! show. This was my first time seeing them live as I am just a baby emo and too young to have grown up with the peak of the movement... but the fan energy is STRONG and the concert was SPIRITUAL. Grammarly tone detector says that my review may sound "Admiring" to readers and I think that is the understatement of my week.

    Best Live Concert Ever!!

by Leckus on 11/12/22Vivint Arena - Salt Lake City

Normally I’m not the biggest fan of the live music my favorite musicians play as they always sound drastically different than what I listen to. But Panic! At The Disco not only sounded amazing, but put on one hell of a show to top it off! It was by far one of the best concerts I’ve been to (KISS being the very best and entertaining), but P!ATD definitely comes in second and not many other concerts I’ve been to even come close to those top two for entertainment or sounding amazing! I would definitely love to see P!ATD in concert more often!! Amazing show all around! And I LOVED how interactive Brenden Urie was with the audience but my favorite part was whenever he’d sing the song a little different and hold really long and high notes throughout the entire show! He’s definitely a showman and a great one at that!!

    Good show, bad PR

by momfan on 11/10/22United Center - Chicago

I originally had tickets to the Milwaukee show, which was called off very last minute. We were walking to the venue when we found out. Hundreds of dollars lost on hotel, travel, food, etc. Heartbroken kids. And NO communication from the band. No apologies or outreach whatsoever. Disappointed again when Milwaukee wasn't rescheduled. Only went to Chicago because my kids were so sad about it all. Panic! performance was amazing, it was a really good show. Two opening acts was overboard. Way too long for the second one. I understand people need their start but she did a very long set. Only other complaint. Spent big bucks on VIP seats. Wanted to be very close to the stage. But his stage was built up so high, people in the front rows of our section were looking almost straight up, and he was out of view at times. Luckily, we were a few rows up, but if I had spent that much and not been able to see him half the time I would have been even more angry.

    Greatest night of my life

    by Lover on 11/9/22

Getting to hear the new album in its entirety was a fantastic experience. The openers were great and got the energy up, I look forward to seeing JWR on his solo tour. As for panic!... I don't think I'll ever be more happy in my life. Brendon flew through the songs effortlessly. Nicole, Dan, Mike and the rest of the band were tight. Such wonderful chemistry on stage. I look forward to the next time.

    Amazing!!

    by Jules1986 on 11/8/22TD Garden - Boston

All the pre-show acts were phenomenal with Jake Wesley Rogers and Marina. I recommend seeing both of those acts as they could have done their own tour. Panic! At the Disco was more than what I expected. It was a non-stop, on my feet kind of experience and loved it!

    Full of energy and nostalgia

by Sky on 11/8/22Kia Forum - Inglewood

The venue was very spacious and seated everyone with some space in between. Panic and the two openers were amazing, and the entire concert was well worth the money spent.
