About

Winner of eight 2012 Tony Awards including BEST MUSICAL, ONCE is a truly original Broadway experience. Featuring an impressive ensemble of actor/musicians who play their own instruments onstage, ONCE tells the enchanting tale of a Dublin street musician who's about to give up on his dream when a beautiful young woman takes a sudden interest in his haunting love songs. As the chemistry between them grows, his music soars to powerful new heights... but their unlikely connection turns out to be deeper and more complex than your everyday romance. Emotionally captivating and theatrically breathtaking, ONCE draws you in from the very first note and never lets go. It's an unforgettable story about going for your dreams... not living in fear... and the power of music to connect all of us.

Good talent but poor sound quality in Peoria IL

by Jazone on 4/28/17Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

My wife and i sat in box seats. The cast's voices sounded like charlie brown's school teacher. We could hear the music though. At intermission we were told the sound would be fixed but it never happened.

    Great time...loved the Irish

by hardtofindaname on 3/31/17Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

We were back a ways, but could see well. I like the seating arrangement because I am short and both times we have attended, my ability to see the stage has been good. Was difficult to hear some of speaking. Show excellent, loved the Irish music.

    Great show!

by threads6179 on 3/30/17Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

This show was very enjoyable. The music was wonderful and memorable. We truly enjoyed the cast. It was a bit difficult to understand the male lead - he spoke quickly in an accent, but we caught enough of what he was saying. Very energetic cast. Quite a nice show! Womens restroom- Not enough stalls, one with broken latch & another not functioning

Once is Not enough to see this fantastic show!

by tooters1 on 3/28/17Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

We went to see Once on Saturday, March 25 in Peoria. Great seats, 3rd row orchestra. I didn't really know what to expect, because we watched the movie a week ago, and I didn't really love it. Well, was I surprised. The talent of the cast was outstanding. The were entertaining us (warming up) on their instruments when we were getting into the theater. Even that part was great! The show has a much more in depth storyline than the movie. And it was funny! I want to see it again, really soon.

    A must see!

by mia1021 on 3/28/17Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

If you've seen the movie, you MUST see the stage performance. The musical has so many more comedic moments, and touching romantic ones too. It is definitely worth seeing if you have the opportunity. You won't be sorry!

    Hard to hear the dialogue

by Livetheatercouple on 3/28/17Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

The "Irish" accents were a bit over-the-top and difficult to understand. Music was great btw.

Once was great fun. I had seen the play in New York with girlfriends and this time in Lexington with my husband. Wonderful music and just an overall enjoyable evening!
