About

O'BROTHER IN CONCERT:

Post-rockers O'Brother have been blowing audiences away since 2006 with epic tunes that incorporate experimental sonics, hard-hitting distortion, and soul-baring emotion. Their live sound is built around the group's three guitarists, who go from ethereal soundscapes to armageddon riffing in a heartbeat, thrilling fans with each dramatic twist. While the rest of the band goes to the moon and back, vocalist Tanner Merritt helms the ship with a voice that's intimate and angelic one moment before firing up crowds with raspy growls the next. The extreme shifts in mood and power – ranging from gentle balladry to take-no-prisoners rock – have ticket buyers lining up to feel the full force of O'Brother's dynamic compositions in concert.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Following their first few jam sessions in 2006, Atlanta, GA’s O'Brother wasted little time in releasing their debut EP, In Comparison to Me. Things truly took off for the group in 2009 when they added vocalist/guitarist Tanner Merritt, who immediately set to work on the group's second EP, The Death of the Day. Merritt's arresting vocals and the group's dramatic sound caught the attention of Thrice, who invited them out on the road in 2011 for their Major/Minor tour. This was just the beginning of a breakout year for O'Brother, who also opened for Cage the Elephant and Manchester Orchestra before releasing their full-length debut, Garden Window. After a co-headlining tour with Junius, the group began work on 2013's Disillusion, which impressed critics and a broad cross-section of genre devotees ranging from indie to post-hardcore fans. O'Brother continues to cast a spell with their ability to seamlessly transition between dreamy and hard-hitting sounds, and their dynamic live shows always offer up a cathartic experience for fans.

O'brother were incredible, they're perfect example of rock being brought back and they certainly deserve to be the ones doing so with the passion and skill they bring to the game. They're a must see for anyone who likes music.

Four of my friends and I drove two hours to go see O'Bother and it was worth every second! Three of us had never really listened to them before, but knew it'd be a good show. They are fantastic live! And after the show we got them to sign a couple of posters and we hung out with a couple band members for awhile. It was a lot of fun, great music, nice guys, and we're totally going to see them again! Now we just need them to come to PORTLAND, MAINE! haha.

Seeing the band for the first time during a release party was an unbelievable experience. If this group has a decent marketing group they will be very successful. We are excited to see them again soon.
