About

Mumford & Sons in Concert

English folk rock band Mumford & Sons have catapulted to stardom with their captivating mix of bluegrass, country and rock, enchanting audiences with their soaring harmonies and catchy pop melodies. Their second album Babel was released in September 2012, debuted at No. 1 in the U.K. and U.S. with hit single “I Will Wait,” and took home the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, as well as winning the Brit Award for Best British Group. The band consists of Ted Dwane on vocals, string bass, drums, guitar; Ben Lovett on vocals, keyboards, accordion, drums; Marcus Mumford on lead vocals, guitar, drums, mandolin; and Winston Marshall on vocals, banjo, guitar, resonator guitar. They formed in late 2007 in West London, and put out two EPs in 2008, Love Your Ground and a self-titled effort, garnering interest from ticket holders in the U.K. and the U.S. as they opened concerts for Laura Marling and Johnny Flynn. Mumford & Sons’ debut studio album Sigh No More was released in late 2009 in the UK and early 2010 in the US, peaking at No. 2 on both the U.K. Albums and U.S. Billboard 200 charts, and selling over three million copies in the U.S. alone on the strength of hit singles “The Cave,” “Little Lion Man” and “Winter Winds.” They also earned two Grammy Award nominations, one for Best New Artist and the other for Best Rock Song for “Little Lion Man,” and won the Brit Award in 2011 for Best British Album. A worldwide headlining tour followed with the likes of Fanfarlo and The Middle East.

    Only the BEST

    by PeterM on 10/29/23

I am 65 years old and have been to many, many concerts from Led Zepplin and the Alman Brothers to Ani DeFranco and Indigo Girls. However, ever since hearing Mumford and Sons on the Late Night show, they have rapidly become my favorite band of all time. I have repeatedly watched all of the festival performances on YouTube and have marveled at how involved their audiences are. Three weeks ago, my fiancee and myself drove from Memphis to Austin just to see them headline at the Ausrin City Limits festival. AMAZING does not to justice to how wonderful their performance. While I do miss Winston Marshal on banjo, dobro and electric guitar, the new banjo and guitar substitutes were quite good. The musicianship and energy of this band remains UNRIVALED in popular culture. I will travel half-way around the world if need be again next year to see them!!! UTTERLY AMAZING!

    A little tight.

    by J on 12/15/19The Anthem - Washington

Space was a bit tight. Screens should be placed in space. You pay so much to hear them live, what about to see them while stand in GA. Main act could’ve ply longer.

    The Anthem Rocked!!

    by b. b. on 12/15/19The Anthem - Washington

As a second time goer to The Anthem, everything I loved the first time was amplified. The customer service was on point, the venue gave you a sense of intimacy, and the availability of space for general admissions was abundant. Of course, Mumford and Sons was amazing. It was my first time seeing them live and I already cannot wait to see them again. But, seeing them at an amazing, picturesque venue made this experience even more magical.
