Nevāda Nevada Tickets

Nevāda Nevada's Kathryn Musilek is next in a loud line of women, long-interested in the male rock-god tradition and claiming that tradition available to even non-males in order to make a place for herself and for her own love of rock and roll. Her songs are not shy; they stomp and shout and wail and are rooted in an obsession with leaving and losing while still finding  and utilizing strength. This is rock made up of feminists, but this thunderstorm of an outfit does not discriminate. Musilek fronts the band on piano and vocals, recalling influence nuanced in November Rain, Fiona Apple and Frankenixon, in a powerful piano bass register. David Olson's drumming and Alicia Berbenick and Andrew Gerhan's guitar-and-bass swapping dance fill out the sound, bulking it up with dance-able beats and paying some serious respect to the electric guitar melodies and solos, adding muscle for the band to enter the ring as the heavyweights they are, to slug it out.
