The NCHC Frozen Faceoff was an amazing event. I am already planning my trip for next year and I would encourage others to do so as well! Great job Xcel Energy Staff and NCHC staff, job well done!
This was our 3rd Frozen Faceoff and we had a great time! St Paul is a beautiful city and all the fans were so nice and friendly! The fan fest was lame but the fan skate was so much fun - We'll definitely be back!
The NCHC has put together a spectacular event. From the free events to engage even the casual fan, to the well priced ticket packages, it's well orchestrated. Will continue to attend year after year.
Everything about the event was fine except for the amount of concession stands open and available. On Friday when there was only an hour in between games causing most people to stay in the building in order to eat supper between games. There were maybe 5 of the permanent stands for food open. Had to wait over 30 minutes just to get chicken and fries. That is ridiculous. Please staff appropriately in order to make the experience better.
I love that it is in St.Paul. So many Places close by to meet up with friends and hotels. Staff at the X are friendly and helpful.
The seats were excellent- the atmosphere engaging, and the outcome exactly what my '07 goalie wanted to happen- and double overtime was as exciting as you could get!
Great facility enjoyed the event and facility. Staff Great. easy to find seats. Clean.
Excel is always great and so is UND hockey just wished the 1st place game wasn't as boring as paint drying. Denver just rocked St. Cloud st hard to swallow that they r #1 in the country.

Hockey was great, good atmosphere. Not enough food vendors were offered. Especially with it being a 2 game ticket, you NEED to offer people something to eat. Most of the booths were closed and the ones that were open had limited selections.
Too many commercial breaks. Too many times the refs have to review something. It breaks the flow of the game. I cant believe the coaches like this either. Constant noise. At every game break the 90 db music starts. Too loud to visit with the person you came with, and you dont visit during the action because, after all, that is why you are there.To see the game. But the noise is deafening. My friend doesnt drive at night. So I drive as a favor to him. A long time friend. At our age we are not the demographic you want anyway. You would rather have drunk college kids.
It's good to be back at the Xcel Energy Center again, however one thing that was vastly inferior here compared to the Target Center was the concourse food selection. This could probably be fixed by just having people man the various stands on the main concourse but at least half of them were closed. The only things to eat were hotdogs, pizza, hamburgers, and chicken strips. Hope they have a little bit more variety next time when the tournament is here.
Great! Much better than target center, enjoyable watching hockey at this arena. Food was ok but on the expensive side, not enough concessions open. Had to wait in long lines and no ice cream stand. Fan fest was ok, too much noise for me. Certainly great place to watch hockey, easy access and plenty of parking. Hope to return to arena for many years.
The only thing I would recommend for the event changing is giving multiple tickets for the Saturday games. There are families that want to bring their kids to the different games and they can't do this as there is not separate tickets.
