About

NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament

March Madness offers college hoops fans the ultimate in basketball intensity as 68 teams from across the country punch their tickets to the Big Dance and compete for the championship. Basketball devotees wait all season to fill out their brackets, cheer on their hometown heroes, and scope out promising NBA hopefuls as the nation's best college players take the court. March Madness has become one of the most anticipated television events of the year, but the thrills are even bigger inside the arena, where ticket buyers can hear the roar of the crowd feel the rumble of the action in person. The competition gets fiercer each weekend until the Final Four duke it out.

NCAA® Division I Men's Basketball Championship

The action, the drama, the madness - there's nothing like the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship. From the First Four® to the Final Four®, teams battle it out to survive and advance in the single-elimination tournament. But only one team returns home as the national champion. Known as The Big Dance, each team, including the Cinderella teams who make it further in the tournament than many expect, vies for their chance to cut the traditional net from the hoop in victory at the end. Student-athletes give it their all and fans flock to venues to show their support and catch all the hoop heroics live. Be a part of March Madness® with Ticketmaster Verified Tickets.

NCAA Sweet 16®

The pressure is on from the start of every NCAA tournament, and it only builds with each passing round. Sixty-eight teams tip off at the start, and by the second weekend only 16 teams will remain - the Sweet 16. The NCAA Sweet 16 teams then play regional semifinals for a chance to move onto the regional finals (and become part of the Elite Eight®) later in the weekend. Fans can score NCAA Sweet 16 tickets with Ticketmaster to catch every epic play and edge-of-your-seat moment live

NCAA Elite Eight®

Half of the teams in the NCAA Sweet 16 get eliminated, leaving the Elite Eight for the regional finals. And these teams are truly elite - only the most talented and dedicated make it to this prestigious round of the NCAA tournament. Fans with Elite Eight tickets bring tons of passion and enthusiasm to the stands, cranking up the excitement at every matchup. The four games take place at the end of the second weekend, and winners advance to the Final Four®.

NCAA Final Four®

It all comes down to this. Student-athletes have pushed themselves hard to make it to the Final Four®, and they need to push themselves even harder to become the national champions. Fans score tickets to cheer their hearts out from the stands - and to give their team an edge. Each team is the champion of their region (East, South, Midwest and West) and must clutch the win to move on to the Men’s Basketball Championship taking place the following Monday. Featuring the two top teams in college basketball, the national championship game never fails to deliver an action-packed, white-knuckle finish to the entire tournament.

March Madness History

Ever since the first NCAA Division 1 Men's Basketball Championship was held in 1939, March Madness has gripped basketball fans across the country as top-tier amateurs lay it all on the line for a shot at glory. Originally played with a bracket of eight teams, both the tournament's number of competitors and its popularity have expanded exponentially in its 75+ years of existence. Today, 68 teams tango in one of four regional brackets (East, South, Midwest, and West) as the hoops hysteria spreads to arenas across the country. From perennial favorites to bracket-busting Cinderella stories, the tournament has seen it all, and fans won't want to miss a second of the unpredictable action hitting the hardwood this spring.

    Always amazing!!

by Yvette on 3/27/19SAP Center at San Jose - San Jose

NCAA Tournament always provides excitement. If you love basketball, you need to experience one tournament game. I attended sessions 1 & 2. My only complaint is the exit situation for session 1 did not provide "handstamp" for easy entry for those attending both sessions. I heard about it from another person.

    Basketball heaven

by S. A. on 3/27/19SAP Center at San Jose - San Jose

Loved going to the first and second round sessions. Six games. Plus upset city on first round. However, the venues and the NCAA need a better system for round one and two sessions. This clearing the arena and relining up after session one I understand but the process needs improvement. When the first game of session two tipped off the arena was barren with maybe a few hundred people. It wasn’t until maybe halfway through the first half that the arena had a few thousand in their seats. This is not fair to fans nor the teams. I understand this is about money and TV but it needs attention.

    Great day despite loss

Tickets were difficult to purchase online/mobile, but eventually succeeded. From there it was great experience.

    Great Tourney Action

by Cecil on 3/27/19SAP Center at San Jose - San Jose

Overall we had a great time watching the first two rounds of the NCAA Men's tournament in San Jose. Three out of the first four games were upsets adding to the excitement of watching the tourney live versus on TV. The area we sat in were occupied by people that bought the all session tickets. It was nice to see the same folks during all games. My only complaint is on the first day, they kick everyone out of the SAP center between sessions. You have to exit and get in line to go through security again an enter with your second set of tickets (if you were all session). This would not have been so bad if it wasn't for the fact it was raining. Did not enjoy getting soaking wet while waiting. Would have been nice if they allowed all session ticket holders to go to a predefined area that was covered and not have to go through security again.

    Columbia outdoes the rest!

by Rainman on 3/27/19Colonial Life Arena - Columbia

Columbia was a really superb venue. People were really friendly and the organizers did a great job in arranging the Convention Center into a greeting area and "entertainment experience" prior to and between the game sessions. The Vista Area offered many and varied entertainment and dining options which were, pleasantly, not overpriced. The games themselves were not entertaining, save for the battle between Duke and Central Florida. Oklahoma-Ole Miss, VCU-Central Florida, and the two 1 Seeds versus 16 Seeds were just plain dull. The NCAA does have to do something about the Price Gouging by the various hotels nearest to the venue - $400/night is just plain ridiculous for any hotel room in Columbia S.C. The hotel we stayed in - the Hyatt Place - offered acceptable accommodations, with pleasant personnel, but it just was not a value for the money. The same is going to be true for the Cleveland area in 2020 as we were shocked by the hotel prices as we booked for next year.

    Standing in the rain

by Ken on 3/27/19SAP Center at San Jose - San Jose

We had to stand in the rain between sessions 1 and 2 while they emptied the arena. Then they started the first game of second session before most of the people we back in the arena. Tickets were not cheap, officials should have waited longer for people to reenter.

    NCAA Tournament

by cjig106 on 3/27/19Vystar Veterans Arena - Jacksonville

Tournament was great with exciting games. The Vystar Veterans Arena was very nice with easy access into and out of the facility and its adjacent parking garages. Our only complaint was that the facility was cold - at various times the AC would turn on and the cold air would blast down from the vents in the ceiling. Also curious to encounter a long lines to access the men's restroom; my wife had no complaints abut the ladies room.

    It was fun.

It was fun although I was hoping the higher seeded teams to win the first round making the second round more exciting.

    Lives Up to the Hype

by Nate Dogg on 3/27/19Colonial Life Arena - Columbia

What an amazing game to be at. Win or Go home. #1 overall seed. Best prospect since LBJ or KD. Zion Vs. Mount Tacko. One point game. Duke on the ropes. Would have been great on TV, but was so much better being there in person.

    JAXMADNESS

by Flanders on 3/26/19Vystar Veterans Arena - Jacksonville

A great experience as always! Three out of four games on Thursday (Kentucky/Abiline Christian being the exception), went down to the end. The arena was electric and everyone was on their feet at the end. Both games on Saturday were the same. Very competitive and close games that weren't decided until the last few seconds. Lines to purchase beer and/or food moved pretty well. The only thing that might have been better....... the merchandise sold very quickly and they were running out of things even before Saturday. I went to buy a ballcap during the first game on Saturday and they were sold out. More colors for the shirts would have been nice too. Overall, an awesome experience! Great crowds, great games, and a great venue. I only wish it was held in Jacksonville more often!

    The experience was great

    by D. on 3/26/19Nationwide Arena - Columbus

The price is reasonable considering you're seeing 6 games over 2 days. The Columbus location is ideal. Plenty of restaurants and parking. Great atmosphere with the pep bands, cheerleaders and fans. The arena staff was very helpful.

    Great Venue

by Bearcat John on 3/26/19Nationwide Arena - Columbus

Nationwide Arena was really a great place. Loved the variety of concession stands, the roomy concourse on lower level, and the seating. After going to NCAA tourney games for 41 straight years, glad the NCAA finally woke up and now allow alcohol sales. About time they entered the 21st Century.

I didn't receive my tickets in the mail, they were returned due to an address mixup. I emailed Ticketmaster, a real person actually responded. I was told to go to the Box office where i received my tickets after a short 10 minute wait. BIGUPS TICKETMASTER
