Nashville SC History

Nashville SC joined Major League Soccer in 2020 as an expansion team, reviving the defunct United Soccer League squad sharing the same name. Nashville initially played at Nissan Stadium, home to the NFL’s Tennessee Titans, for their first two seasons before Geodis Park opened in 2022 as the team’s permanent home pitch.

Since entering MLS, Nashville SC have qualified for the playoffs every year between 2020 and 2023. In 2022, All-Star midfielder Hany Mukhtar received the league’s Landon Donovan MVP Award. The following season, Nashville added to their team accolades by securing a 10-match win-streak and advancing to second place in the annual Leagues Cup tournament.

    Great Time

by IAmTranyce on 3/7/24GEODIS Park - Nashville

I had a great time attending my first major league soccer game. I am attending another this week and sitting in the fan section this time. I loved how accessible to park was with modern, scanning entry points.

I love NSC and my experience was very good.

    by karenberkowicz@hotmail.com on 3/5/24GEODIS Park - Nashville

It was a great experience. It was very cold outside and on a school nigjt, and there was only a fraction of fans there (6000) but we still had fun.

    Loved it

by NSC Faithful on 11/10/23GEODIS Park - Nashville

This was my first Nashville SC match & I had a great time! GEODIS Park is an amazing stadium with lots of food & drink options, which mainly was local food & beer options! You don’t see that a lot these days. Parking around the stadium is next to nothing, but I got there early & parked about 1/2 mile away. Can’t wait for the 2024 season!

    So, so good.

    by jmj on 10/31/23

I love this place. I immediately felt a sense of community in the supporters section, felt like I was one of NSC. Learning the chants is so fun and I love dancing to the drumbeat. Supporters section is a must for anyone who can appreciate the rowdy.

Great Atmosphere! Food Diversity, not so much…

by WiZA on 10/5/23GEODIS Park - Nashville

The positives first: Great atmosphere. Everyone was nice and helpful (at first). Stadium was really easy to get in and out of. We sat in section 207 row Z; the furthest seats from the field; but still great seats! Bathrooms were as clean as anyone could hope for with stadium bathrooms. Now the negatives: Vegan options were poor, to say the least. My options were fries, fried plantains and popcorn. I understand there is not a high demand for plant based food; but compared to The Mercedes-Benz stadium where Nashville’s rival Atlanta United play. They offered a vegan cart with plant based burgers and kielbasa. Soccer has always been about diversity. I would like to see a little more openness to a vegan lifestyle at GEODIS Park. The security overall was solid. I never felt unsafe or nervous about any impending issues; BUT… when the game was over the security shuffled everyone out as fast as possible. Now the problem with this is, my 9 yr old nephew wanted a custom shop jersey; but the security would not let us walk though the concourse to the main team store to purchase said custom jersey. We had to go to the micro-shop that was in our section and bought a standard jersey for they didn’t offer custom made jerseys. I know it’s not a big deal in the grand scheme of things; but it was to a 9 yr old.
